*** The Official August 2016 Thread! ***

Well I'm still at 40 days out...39 if we count the driving day. Only thing I've started beyond regular planning is making cue cards with my important times, must sees etc. I decided to rearrange a few FPs as I went along and surprised how easy it was to change times.

Sadly I had been saving extra funds here and there to purchase Memory Maker, but my camera completely died last week. $500 on a new one, but needed more than MM.

Just seen the updated hours, First day we have a reservation for BOG at 8:05am, park opening was 9am, but is now 8am. o_O

Good news is my last night there hours are extended till 1am!!! pixiedust: I can spend my last day at my favorite park late hehe

HELP!! Now what should I do lol. I have our Fast Passes booked for the evening at AK.. hmmm.. Original plan was to have breaky before park opening, stay at the park till just after lunchtime and head over to ALK for a late lunch at Sanaa then spend the evening at AK... hmmmm

Any suggestions for me lol.

We also had a PPO BOG ADR but now the opening is at 8am on our day. We are dropping it and it's not a huge deal breaker for us as we already have a BOG lunch ADR on another day, and we do have FP for both 7DMT and PP (the rides we had strategically planned to ride before the RD hit) during our stay.

ETA: I'd keep your AK FPes. We are doing a split MK/AK day on our day 2 similar to you but we are not AK people and don't feel compelled to hit up every AK attraction/ride/show. We plan to leave MK after lunch and we'll try to get SDFP for AK but we don't have our heart set on anything there in particular. We originally planned to skip AK altogether which is why we are more relaxed and "go with the flow" there

YUP we lost one of our cameras about a week ago, better before the trip and having to make arrangements for one there

We are also leaving in 24 days!

But I'm just realizing how much I have to do....
- haircuts
- buy new shoes
- car maintenance (cause we're driving)
- buy more American money
- buy health insurance
- school supplies for the kids (cause we return the day before school starts)

The list goes on and on......:rotfl:

We are also driving, but no maintenance to deal with, I'm renting. We always get haircuts at the barber shop in MK, so don't gotta worry about that either. Already have the shoes, and health insurance, but I do have a bunch of packing left to do, and school supplies to buy.

Our Magic Bands arrived yesterday and our MDE luggage tags arrived last week. Woohoo!!! It's getting real! Now if I could only get a FP+ for the Frozen ride. I don't mind skipping it but my daughter wants to ride it....we'll probably end up riding standby...ugh.....

Sympathy like for not getting FEA fp. I've been checking MDE wait times and it seems to be a steady 75 to 90 minute wait. Nothing like the first 2 weeks

I might be interested. We are going 7/30 through 8/6. Could you help me understand how this works?

One person is in charge and buys the Memory Maker, then the cost is split evenly among everyone who is going to participate and they pay Person #1 for their share. Then everyone has to be "friends" on MDE so all of the pictures that are taken for everyone go into the same "account". I believe everyone's trips have to be within a 30 day window, but I'm not positive on that. Then, after the trip, everyone goes in and edits/downloads their own pictures. I've participated in several shares and they're great.

I am traveling 7/31/16-8/5/16 and would be interested. I actually already purchased it but have been regretting it because it is so expensive.

4 weeks to go. I seriously need to leave my plans alone and stop tweaking them lol. :goodvibes My family thinks I'm crazy :rotfl:

Just changed on of the places we are eating at. This trip needs to happen before we keep changing things

I seriously can't stop! Lol! I am 10 days away and added an ADR yesterday! Now I'm obsessively checking for the time change I want for ohana and looking at the new restaurants at Disney springs. I just love the planning! Lol!
