Monday morning came and went and the flights were just too expensive, and it looked like the trip was off... then checked what it would be to shift the dates forward by a day (meaning we would arrive on our wedding anniversary)... Disney offered to shift the date for free, and we're now going on 14th August and have our direct London to MCO flights all booked and paid for!

I was getting information to do a family reunion in August. I got some great prices, but 2 of my sisters have large families to take so they were a little sticker shocked at price for all to go. It seems everyone has dropped out. Call me crazy, but I want to take advantage of these great prices and for the first time stay at GF. My husband who never wants to go is OK with this!!!Yeah.

I was in the same position! We go to Disney a lot (AP holders) and hubby's 3 sisters wanted to go with us. But they all have kids, who play sports and go to camp, etc. And I was spinning in circles trying to find a time that worked for everyone.

Finally hubby said STOP! Pick your dates and, if they can be there, they'll make their own reservations (I'm available to help with planning their trips, etc., but I'm not going to be their cruise director and coordinate everything for 8 adults & 9 children!)

We're staying at GF too!!! Very first time!!!!

I think I'm up-to-date on the list, with the exception of @zokaluse - I've only got your BC stay on the list as I wasn't sure about the dates of the other parts of your stay (it didn't sound like they were booked yet?) Please tell me if I've missed anyone/anything!

We're hoping we can book our flights on Monday. It's all very nerve wracking, as the prices have made a huge jump since the amazing deal we got on flights in 2014. We want to fly direct, and are hoping to try Virgin for the first time... just need to get in quick as the cheap seats sell quickly! Eeek!

I can't believe it's almost Halloween! Crazy how time is flying!

I'm starting to really research, especially for ADRs since my booking window opens on January 27th and I know the next 3 months will fly, especially being so busy at work with shows starting up already. We do mostly table service, for two reasons. One, and most important, it is the best option for DS10 who has multiple food allergies (tree nuts, peanuts, shellfish) and we feel safest with TS where the chef comes out to take his order. And two, we prefer to sit down and take a break instead of wait in line, find a table, etc. I am a little nervous for our one day at Universal Studios regarding the food allergies, since we've never gone there as a family (only I've been there, but in high school). I will contact them of course, but I hope they handle things well. DS10 really wants to eat at Krusty Burger in the Simpsons food area, but he knows that might not happen. They have two TS restaurants at the Studios, and one is a seafood restaurant so that leaves the pub restaurant which looks good, if we have to go with TS.

We get the Tables in Wonderland card for all the Disney dining, which just went up in price. It used to cost $100 for DVC members, but now it costs $150. Still worth it for us since almost all our Disney meals are TS, and the 20% discount also applies to alcohol (we like wine or a drink with dinner on vacation). I also sometimes get a couple of appetizers as my meal and then I don't have to worry if it's included with a dining plan entitlement or if they won't let me do that. None of the Disney dining plans for into our eating schedule while at WDW. The regular plan has too much CS, the deluxe plan has too many meal and snack credits. We always do best financially buying the TIW card so that's what we do. Whenever I add up the numbers at the end of a trip, the amount we spend on food AND alcohol costs about the same as the regular dining plan would cost us, and far less than the deluxe plan (and I add in the cost of buying the card as well). The TIW is available to annual pass holders, Florida residents, and DVC members. We love it, because it works out great for us. Friends of mine on the other hand, prefer the regular dining plan because it fits in with their eating plans.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day and a great week leading up to Halloween! Today is the 9 month mark until we check in! So excited already!

I have to say... I LOVE the planning part of Disney vacations (i.e. ADRs, Fastpasses, etc).

I think I'm up-to-date again on the main list, but do give me a should if I've missed you/got something wrong! Not long until we hit our 9 months to go mark (and some of you have already got there!)... time definitely is flying!

For us, looks like I'll be booking for August 2017 (EEEK! 2 years running!) to take my Mum on her first visit. We'll be booking that around April 2016, when hopefully they release the 2017 Free Dining offers again. It'll be so neat to have two trips booked at the same time, and to be coming home from my next trip with the following one already booked and sorted!

We added an extra day at the Contemporary . We are now arriving on the 18th of August (Contemporary August 18-22) and the other resorts/dates are the same. We are trying to plan our 2017 trip too - possibly another Disney Cruise. So nice to have two trips in the makingHappy planning
