If we could get down there twice/year then I would do annual passes for sure!
Anyone see anything about dance or cheer competitions April 22-25? I saw it mentioned on another thread on the resort page after I asked questions about switching to ASSpo. Since I already made the switch, I'm not gonna stress about it, but was just curious if anyone knew anything?
Hmm, no I didn't know about that. I'll have to look into that!
It's funny you mentioned APs because my best friend/Disney partner in crime and I just had a conversation about wanting to get APs!
so we all have a long ways to go before ADRs and FastPass+, most of us have hotels and flights. . . . what can is everyone planning at this point!?!?!

I think I slightly broke my husbands heart today! I handle the finances and told him it might be wise to wait a couple years to go back to WDW (he and my daughters had their very first trip last May....and fell in love!). Sooo....now I feel that the stage is really getting set for the trip being a Christmas surprise!!! I can't wait!!

We're actually leaving for our very first trip to Disney next week but are already looking ahead to April. We were only able to go for a short trip as our first visit, so we've been talking about dividing our first trip into two parts, with the second part in April. We are also in MA so our school vacation week starts the 17th. We originally were thinking of going the 15-21, but now that the new Star Wars half marathon is scheduled for the 14-17 I'm thinking it may be better to avoid that weekend if we can and change our dates to 19-25. We are waiting to book a resort until we get back from our trip next week, but are currently considering the Beach Club.
I don't have anything concrete to add yet, but wanted to join in on this thread.![]()

Welcome.
So, I have never been during a half-marathon event, but we are booked for April 15-22 and I can't change without paying a bunch to alter my flights....so, for those of you who have been during a half-marathon time frame, what should I expect in terms of impact on crowds??
Caribbean BeachWelcome! Sounds like funHave you chosen a hotel yet?
Hi, all! I've had my ticker up for a while, but finally joining this thread. You're welcome to add me to the list: April 9-16 - Port Orleans French Quarter - karly05
Plane tickets are the last thing I do; I always feel that I'm "all in" at that point; can't change or cancel without a huge hassle and probably expense. SW isn't convenient for me (too few flights, times not convenient). I've usually gone American, but after a couple of "last straw" adventures with the delay-delay-cancel / "musical gates" games that are American Eagle at DFW Terminal B (where the nicest part is the area my sister has dubbed "the Bus Station"), I've decided to try Delta through ATL next year. I'm watching prices, and how the flights run (delays, etc.), and will probably get serious at the first of the year.
Meanwhile, I am impatiently waiting for Easy WDW's April crowd calendar so I can sort out my park days. Which brings me to...
AAAAAAAUGH! Just when I thought I was figured out - Suddenly Star Wars Dark Side 5K is on my last park day - which I was going to spend at Epcot - which is where the 5K is (albeit at 6 am). If April park recommendations stay close to February's and March's, Josh already has MK and HS not recommended for Fridays (EMHs). If he un-reccomends Epcot, I'm just going to have to tough it out. I only need one AK day, and I'm not leaving it to the end of my trip.
Oh, and everyone going my week next year - I am going to work on preventing the rain! I'm going to end up investing in a pair of Keens for rainy days, which means I probably won't need them!
Apologies for being so wordy, but - come on, April!
