Thanks for setting this group up... I am so excited about my upcoming holiday even though it is still 9 whole months away

This is my 4th trip overall and my second with my family

me ( 37) DH (38) and three DD's 14, 11 and 5

So glad to find other people who I can share my excitement with

We are staying at POR from 31st March until 14th April

I booked Pop with 5 day base tickets for March 26- April 5. I decided against the DDP as my 10year old prefers to order from the children's menu when possible. Saves me a little money. We decided to do 2 days at Epcot, the kids love it! And 3 days at MK so we can slow down and take in all the little things we never have time to do!

Happygal, sounds good! We can always use that many days in ep and mk. Right now i have a 6 day base ticket booked. It may change if i cant figure out how to divide up the days... Was hoping to afford a 5 day hopper..

Yeah, we always need 2 days at Epcot, so much to see and do. And we usually do 2 days in MK but the girls and I decided to really take our time to explore all the nooks and crannies. We want to see all the parades and shows, meet more characters, try more snacks! My 10yr old wants a haircut in the harmony barber shop and I'm hoping to see the Dapper Dans. My girls also want to play the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game. Oh, and we've never been to Tom Sawyer's island. Yikes, maybe we'll need 4 days at the MK! LOL

Monica I'm not doing the DDP this time either. My DD9 sometimes orders off the childrens menu and sometimes off the adult at this point so it would just be to restrictive for us.

Hey All,

Even though we are doing August instead of April now, I thought I'd pass along that I got an email advising that Jet blue airfare opens up TOMORROW for travel through 4/30/14! Happy Planning!!

Yesterday I booked the planes for our stay in April 2014 (from 29th to May7th). I had already booked the package, but I didn't realized probably because I haven't paid the balance yet. When I received confirmation for the planes I was Fortunately I was alone at home all day, so nobody saw me!

Add us in! We will be at AKL from April 26-May4. It is during our "spring break." We have gone early May the last 3 times we have gone so this will be a little earlier then usual. We are super excited!!! I just wish there was more park time info out! I want to do more planning. We are taking 1st timers with us!

As of right now, Animal Kingdom Lodge. Booked Savannah view but thinking about pool view.

poolview is gorgeous!!! we stayed with that view by choice 3x! love the lush view and the closeness to the pool Mara laundry and lobby.

For those that will be there on easter sunday... What are your plans? Park no park? Waterpark? Stay at resort? We are not sure but are thinking if we do not do a park maybe dinner at ohana or boma

It's important to know that the cheer events do not really affect park crowds but if you are staying at an All Star Resort or Caribbean Beach resort which are usually the host resorts then you will have a couple of days with lots of teens running around and cheering until all hours of the night. If that doesn't bother you that's great! But just a word of warning if it does you may want to avoid booking those resorts.

Hi everyone! I went back through the thread and I don't see that I ever posted to join you all. If I did - sorry for the repeat! And if I didn't - yay, I am here!

Up until a few weeks ago my next trip to the world wasn't until November 2014 and this made me very DH is not a Disney fantatic and insists we maintain our every other year trip policy, despite being DVC members. I personally find this to be cruel and unusual punishment, but I digress.

A few weeks ago my sister canceled her trip this coming November due to a financial issue, so being the schemer that I am, the wheels started spinning. Every year we try to do a girls' trip, which usually includes myself, my mom, my sister, DD (3) and my nephew (also 3), however, we did not do one in 2013. With this in mind, I suggested we do something over my April break next year (April 14-18). Needless to say everyone is on board and here I am!

Right now the plans are very up in the air. We plan to fly down on Sunday the 13th and head home on Friday the 18th, but that could change depending on airline prices. We also most likely will be staying offsite using mom's RCI timeshare. Can't wait to really get planning!
