For those that are interested or keeping track of my ankle drama, I had my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon this morning. He said no surgery and that I could start physio and weight bearing.

We talked to him about our trip. He said that I might not make it from an hour before opening at the gates to fireworks but he didn't recommend canceling (wouldn't happen anyway, dude). So at least I am feeling positive about it and hope physio can get me on the right track. I have to wait until the 10th to start.
Booked F! premium dessert seating for 7/3 this morning! 9pm show!
What a way to finish DD's birthday!
Mi madre completed our dining reservations. We're doing:
July 27 - Plaza Inn (character breakfast)
July 28 - Blue Bayou Restaurant
July 29 - Wine Country Trattoria
July 30 - Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue
July 31 - Storytellers Cafe
Very excited as I've only been to Blue Bayou out of any of these.

Nice! I've eaten at all those places except BTR BBQ and they've all been yummy. I really want to try the BTR BBQ at some point![]()
I'm definitely late joining the party, but we just changed our travel dates from June to July. We will be in the parks July 13-18 and are staying at the Desert Inn.
We have been to Disneyland several times. My husband and I have 4 kids. One of them has special needs, so it can make our touring interesting, but our kids still love it. And our son with special needs absolutely loves roller coasters and other fast rides. It is worth all of the money and planning just to hear him giggle through the entire ride!! He especially loves BTMRR, so we are excited to ride it this time with the updates!!
I was so sorry to read about your ankle, but I'm glad that surgery won't be necessary! I actually injured my left knee during WOC on my last trip to DLR in January of 2012. I don't have health insurance, so I was stuck seeing doctors in clinics and at school. I saw 4 different doctors, and none of them gave me the same diagnosis or treatment plans. As a result, my knee still hasn't healed. I really believe that I need physical therapy, and I hope to be properly assessed when I can see a doctor under my fiance's insurance plan after we're married. That being said, even though I injured my knee at DLR, nothing can keep me from returning, so I know exactly how you feel. Best of luck to you and I wish you a speedy recovery!![]()
We only did a 3 day for that same reason! We found an amazing deal on airline tickets ($108 nonstop round trip) and a great deal on a rental car (joining KLM and using their code saved us a ton). Honestly, between the airfare to CA, hotels, food, and park tickets, this year's vacation is costing us more.
So I have a question for you all! What shoes do you wear to the parks?
I have 2 pairs of Skechers go walks I plan on wearing but am thinking I might want another pair of shoes as a back up. I wore my Skechers at the 24 hour event and boy did my feet hurt at the end. They usually never hurt that bad, so thinking I may need to change up my shoes mid day or something.
