*** The Official 2014 - DLR -July Thread ***(We All Have Been There & Back Home)

Rope drop is a no-brainer for us with the time difference and I love that it gives us afternoon breaks at the pool:sunny::cool2:

I'm with you all the way Dismamx2! It seems that most of us taking the time to get involved with a planning thread are "rope-droppers". And being from the East coast, I will probably be at the gate around 4am or so, chatting it up with the maintenance CMs. :coffee::hyper2:

We have brunch scheduled at Goofy's Kitchen for DD's birthday *7/3* her request, our reservation is for 10am, we'll use our PH MM that day and enter Disneyland at 7am. We'll likely take the monorail on our way to GK.
For the 4th we have Blue Bayou at 11:30 and Cafe Orleans at 8pm. If we do Fantasmic dessert seating on the 4th we won't dine at CO. Will likely book Breakfast with Minnie and Friends for the 5th tomorrow.

First time poster and first trip to DLP!

We are from the Midwest - me, my DH, my BFF, DD13, DS 10 and DD 7.
We are staying at DLH
Arrival 7-23 - 7-26 plans are to be in San Diego, Del Mar and Coronado.

Arrival to Disney sometime on 7-27. We want to go to Trader SAMs for dinner then on to the park and Fantasmic with Dessert package.

7-28 and 7-29 split between both parks.
I'm interested in reservations for the BBQ, Carnation Cafe and Orleans.

Right now we cant decide between early hours at DCA or Bfast at Goofeys Kitchen.

Feel free to critic my plan

WELCOME to the Disboards Momto3as!!!!

I think your plan sounds good.

If I were choosing for myself, I'd choose to utilize the Extra Magic Hour at DCA, over eating breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen---but that's just me!

If you can get up/going, and get lined up at the main DCA entrance, well before EMH begins(at least 30 min.), you can enter DCA pretty quickly, and get a ton of things done, without huge crowds(of course there will usually/always be a crowd headed for RSR;)!)

Thanks for your warm welcome and two cents.
Would it be an option for one of our party to go to the early entrance hour for DCA and get FP for RSR and come back and join the rest of us at breakfast?
Does each member of the party need to insert their ticket to get a FP?

Everyone has to be in the park, but only one person has to get the FPs

Each person has to have their ticket scanned at the entrance, one person can be the FP runner/gatherer.

Why not do brunch at Goofy's? Enjoy the early hours as DCA then take a fun break :)
That's our plan on DD's birthday, we'll use our MM in Disneyland, after 2.5 hours in the park head back to the DLH for our 10am brunch at Goofy's.
Goofy's is DD's birthday meal request. :cutie:

Booked Minnie and Friends for our last morning. 7:10am, it'll be a MM, we won't have access to it. We'll enjoy a fun meal and be ahead of our fellow non MM guests :cool1:

We'll be there at the end of July, too :)

Had a recent hiccup in my planning....
I thought Luluu had a great idea with getting some In N Out Burger GCs for the trip. So, I bought some for Fathers Day for Mr FFerret. They came lightning quick. And guess who got the mail that day! Darn it!!!! That man is SO hard to shop for, too...

Got some good news today. I just now placed a winning bid at priceline for a Crown Vic at $34 a day for Cali :))
[happy ferret dance]

Awesome!! I keep freaking out every once in a while and I am like what did I do with my Gift Card...then I remember its already with the other paperwork in the suit case :rotfl:

Little behind on the question of the week...but I really hope we can be rope drop... I have some breaks during the week that we will be doing beaches and stuff so I am hoping that will help with the having to get up early the other days.
