The Official 2014 - Disneyland Resort -June Thread! Let's Plan!

We will be there June 1st-6th. There are 8 of us going. 6 adults and 2 kids (pretty good ratio for this mama...lol). We are staying at PPH. We are doing Goofy's Kitchen on morning and then Ariel's Grotto for lunch a different day. We went last year at this same time and it wasn't too crowded IMO. We waited about 45 mins for the big rides and no more than 15 mins for the others. I'm so excited to go again this year!!!!

I know!! I am so excited too. :dance3: We are at 50 days today, and that is such a lovely number. :woohoo:

*50 days
*1200 hours
*72,000 minutes
*4,320,000 seconds

Well even though it's only the first day of June showing its till so exciting! Tomorrow I can see the hours for out first park day. :cool1::yay::yay:

I'm glad it's not just me excited to see June appearing on the hours! We're there 11th to 17th, so a bit longer to wait for our days

I'm a first timer to DL coming from the UK from the 18th to the 22nd. really looking forward to it but am so scared/nervous because I am gonna be all on my own so if anyone who is going the same time as me and would like some company let me know! I cant wait to ride Splash Mountain as we dont have that in DLP and I also cant wait to ride Space Mountain as it is pretty different to the one is Paris!! :wave2:

We are DL first timers and will be staying at the DLH from the 8th-14th. It's our daughter's 8th birthday on June 10th so we have reservations that day at BBB and Ariel's Grotto. She'll be disappointed to find out that Space Mountain will be shut down during our stay.

We've been to WDW a few times but have a lot to learn about DL. Luckily we'll have 5 days in the parks to figure it out.

Kirsty I'm from the uk too but going back just before you arrive! Hope you have a great time. Unfortunately space mountain is due to be closed until the 26th from the closure lists I've seen

We are making our first trip to DL in June! We went to WDW last July/August, so I'm looking forward to California weather! Kids are DS12, DS9, and DD9; they have no idea we've planned this trip. I want to just tell them we are going "somewhere" the day we head to the airport. We leave June 7 and will go watch the Angels play the White Sox; hope J Hamilton is off the disabled list by then (we are Rangers fans,); then we will go on the Hollywood/LA/beach tour on Sunday. We will be in the parks Monday-Thursday. I would still love to not tell the kids we are doing anything Disney until we actually go to the park; I think it would be so fun to just show up (or drive by on our way to the tour and listen to them talk about how fun it would be to go there!) I'm horrible at keeping secrets and this one is killing me because I'd love to watch videos with them and let them help me make plans, but I think this will be a once in a lifetime chance to surprise them like this. Since we just went to WDW, they would never expect this! How can I keep it quiet for 47 more days???

Hey Everyone, we are heading to DL June 25th - 28th for our 1st trip! It finally feels real!

It has been crazy planning this family vacation. We started just thinking we would go to Las Vegas and then once my DH off-handedly said DL was only 4 hours away, well the wheels started turning and all the plans changed.

Here's our plans:
June 20-25th - Las Vegas (departing early morning to DL on the 25th!)
June 25th - 27th DL staying at PPH for 3 nights
June 28th - one night at the Camelot for 1 final day at DL
June 29th - Universal Studios - with 2 boys and DH, they all wanted to go here so I gave up an extra day at DL. The guys love the Simpsons and those Minions are pretty cute!
June 30th - Hollywood Walk of Fame, Santa Monica Pier & fly home.

We will be doing all the EMH hours with most likely a break at the hotel in the afternoon each day - I hope 3-1/2 days is enough (we'll get park hoppers)! We will be there when SM opens (just like in DW a few years ago!) and now the Bobsleds won't be closing down either. Wow, it feels like a lot of pixie dust in how this is coming together.

I just need to make the Sunday night hotel reservation, and buy tickets to DW, US and still throwing around Blue Man Group in Vegas. I'm not sure my DS12 will like it and I don't want to spend that money hearing for an hour and a half how boring it is.

I'm still stumped about dining reservations though. I wish the hours would come out 60 days in advance just like the dining ressie's. I think we'll do BTRBBQ and maybe Goofy's Kitchen although a nice steak dinner would be wonderful. (I didn't realize you needed ressie's to BTRBBQ until reading another post in here! Glad I did!)

Do you ever wonder how many hours you've actually logged while planning a trip. Maybe that's why not a lot gets done around here sometimes? :confused3

Happy Planning!!

Looks like there are quite a few folks going the first week of June. Count us in!

May 31-June 1: Universal Studios
June 1-June 5: Disneyland

We try to plan around the Grad Nites but looks like this year, we're gonna have to skip out early on DCA on Wed, June 4th and head over to DL. Awe shucks ..;)

Add me to the June list! I'm a WDW CM heading there with the hubby. We will be in Santa Monica for a wedding June 5-morning of the 7th then headed to DLR from June 7-10. Right now we're staying at GCH....BUUUT I stayed at PPH last year for the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend and had an AMAZING view! I'm afraid I'll be disappointed at GCH. (I can't decide what's more important--view or niceness of hotel).

Right now we have WOC dinner at Ariel's Grotto on Sunday. We are also booked for Napa Rose Chef's counter for Monday night but Saturday is Grad Nite so I might switch it to then to avoid some of the grads.

I'm so excited for this! With the races last year, I wasn't able to fully enjoy everything. And hubby hasn't been since he was little. I can't wait!

So I see my days are on the calendar but there's no early admission to either park on Sat., June 7 or Sunday, June 8. Why? Will they add those later? Anyone know?

My magic hours June 2-4 showed up by the Saturday of the same week.

Fellow June travelers,

Has anyone (who booked directly through Disney) gotten their travel packet yet? You know the one with the vouchers, the luggage tags, the official paperwork, etc?

I haven't, and I want it!! :badpc: I want to make my Medieval Times reservations and to do that I need that voucher from the Disney company showing it as pre-paid so I can give Medieval Times that information. We want to go on the Saturday of our arrival, and I think a Saturday dinner show in June will be busy enough that I need to get it booked as soon as possible! :worried:

We are a little more than a month out - shouldn't it be here by now??

We were originally going from June 16-19th, but booked the room starting for check in for 15th and our travel agent called us today asking of we want to send back our 4 day park hoppers to upgrade to 5 day park hoppers because of a new promotion going on. Sure an extra day at Disney land, couldn't pass that up

:cool1: We are about 29/30 days till check in and I think they said it would be 2 weeks out. I think that's May 19th for me.

My photopass plus has been shipped :)

Good luck!

I think when I booked my trip they said we would get our documents at around 21 days prior. I'm at 29 days!!!! Getting close. My concern right now is my photopass+ that I ordered. It shipped almost 2 weeks ago and when I track the shipment it stops on April 22nd.

That would scare me!!!

I'm in the uk and my photopass + arrived just over a week after ordering!

Does anyone know how DAS works. I have had knee surgery and it hurts if I have to stand in place for more than 15 minutes. My friends went in February and told me to get the DAS because they know my situation
