YAY! I got things purchased and booked!
We got our airline tickets through Alaska Air, and got a great deal! $1280 for the 4 of us. I know that seems high to some of you, but flying out of our piddley little airport up here in the boondocks always costs an arm and a leg, so that's really quite good. We leave June 7th and return June 15th.
We check in to the Anaheim Quality Inn and Suites on the 7th, and we are checking out the 11th. We are renting a car from Alamo. We have 3 park days; Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I purchased tickets to Medieval Times as part of my package, and when I get my tickets/vouchers in the mail I am going to try to schedule our Medieval Times for the evening we arrive (our flight gets in to LAX at 10 AM).
On the 11th we check out of the Anaheim Quality Inn and Suites, and we will drive down to San Diego. We have family there and we are going to go to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. We will probably try to spend an afternoon on the beach as well. We have reservations for a La Quinta in the Mission Bay area.
On the 14th, we will leave San Diego and drive back up to LA, stopping along the way to do whatever catches our eye. We are going to go return the car at LAX and we have a one night reservation at the Embassy Suites at the airport. They will pick us up in their courtesy shuttle after we drop off the car, and take us back the next morning to catch our flight.
I feel like I have made a lot of progress! Airline tickets bought (fully paid for), Disney package and Medieval Times reservations bought (fully paid for), Sea World (and Sea World's all-day dining package) and San Diego Zoo tickets pre-purchased (and fully paid for), and Embassy Suites reservation at the airport made (and pre-paid). The La Quinta in San Diego is reserved (but I couldn't pay for it ahead of time) and I haven't reserved the car yet (waiting to see if it gets cheaper as we get closer).
Yay for a June thread. We will be there June 21-28. How did you guys decide your park days? We will do either 4 or 5 days.
We made our decision based on a few factors. We have been to
Disneyland several times before, and know that we can usually do everything we want to do in 3 days, as long as we have Park Hoppers. However, we usually don't travel in high season, so I wanted to make as much as possible out of our time there.
We had two choices: Anaheim at the beginning of our trip (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) or the end of our trip (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). The fact that Thursday and Friday were Grad nights (maybe even Saturday - I don't remember) was the deciding factor. I know it is always going to be crowded, but I figure the crowds can't help but be less on a Monday and Tuesday then on a Grad night weekend. I could be wrong,

we'll see.
I plan on spending most of Sunday and Tuesday in Disneyland, and most of Monday in California Adventure, but we'll hop back and forth if crowds are better in one area or the other. Tuesday is Early Entry in Disneyland, so we'll definitely take advantage of that.
