Made my 11 miles yesterday. After listening to the Mickey Miles podcast and hearing Jeff Galloway suggest that if you're unhappy with your time/pace, to reduce your run/walk intervals, I tried it and came in 1:13 FASTER/mile than my 9.5 mile run two weeks prior.
I still feel like I'm super slow and part of me feels bad for walking what amounts to 1/3 of the course.
But, in the end, I suppose it matters that I cross the finish line (or in this case, my driveway) strong and feel like I can manage the parks after. Yesterday was a little rough on my feet but after a mediocre night's sleep and staying in my shoes all day, I feel good.
Glad I accomplished it. At mile 10.5, I got a little misty-eyed knowing that I was gonna make it!
That's wonderful! I probably need to reduce my run intervals. I'm at 2/1 right now I was SO exhausted after Saturday's 7.5.

Too funny! My run on SUnday night I took my 2 kids each going on one loop around my neighborhood, they go on their 4 wheeler. My son (he is 5) kept hearing my whistle and kept asking what that was. I told him it tells me when to run and when to walk. I got a pretty strange look.
. Very impressed that you took the kids. In a double stroller. That wasn't even a jogger! Go you
! I don't even like to run with my Bob as my kids used to provide the same "motivation" as yours, asking why we weren't running faster
So figured we would go on Sunday, but forgot about my run. At least I was happy I got it in and lost calories instead of adding them
