The Official 2007 Candlelight Processional Thread

Disney's 37th Candlelight Processional will be taking place this year from November 23rd - December 30th.​

This is a beautiful and moving presentation held in EPCOT where the Christmas story is told.
Choirs sing, orchestras play and an actor or vocalist (generally) narrates this heart-warming celebration.​

Disney will begin booking the Candlelight Processional Packages on July 2nd at 7:00 AM EST. 407-WDW-DINE​

Each evening there are three shows: 5:00pm, 6:45pm, 8:15pm​

If I wanted to go to this processional do I have to call in Jul 2nd to pay extra for Teir 3 ($47.99)? I'm not quiet sure how this thing works. We have 6 of us going and if I also have to pay almost $50 for each of us to hear someone tell the Christmas story .. then I'll just eat dinner and forget about the Candlelight processional.

It's not really "extra". You either use a Dining Credit (if you're on the meal plan) -OR- you pay $47.99 + tax/gratuity and you get an appetizer, entree, dessert, non-alcoholic drink AND the preferred seating at the theater.

Either way, to get the preferred seating, you HAVE to be booked as a CP package, so you need to call at 7am on 7/2 to re-book that. If you just kept your original reservation, you would have to stand in line for the non-CP package seating, which is first come-first serve (and the line tends to form about an hour before showtime )

Kewl .. if I re-book do you think I'll get the same time? Do I just tell them that I want to use my 6:20 reservations for CP (we are on the DDP). I think we'd have enough time to eat dinner before the 8:15 show?

No, you cannot just tell them you want to use your 6:20p reservation. They will tell you what they have available and you'd have to book from what's available. Then you would have to cancel your original ADR. They cannot change a regular ADR into a package ADR.

Oh and the package seating is also first come, first served and there will be a line as well. However, package guests are seated before the standby line guests. There is a chance, that the standby guests won't get in and that is the benefit of doing the package.

For some restaurants/Tiers, you are paying more for the package than if you paid for the meal without the package, especially if you normally don't eat an appetizer or a dessert; your meal without the package would be cheaper.

It's here the Official 2007 CP thread. I can almost hear the choir sing. I may go three nights.I really enjoy the show.I really want to see Phylicia Rashad and Dennis Franz. Ok am I understanding this correctly. Even though you get the CP dinner package you do not have special seat saved? Do we still have to wait in the lines you are talking about? We are doing the CP for the first time on Nov 23rd.

You do not have a special seat, you have a special area to sit in. The line is shorter...in the past, it's been as you face the stage, the line for CP dinner package forms on the left. Even with the CP package, we have gone into the line early sometimes because we knew someone who was singing and we really wanted to be as close as possible...it worked. There was another time when we barely made it in time for the show...but we still had a seat.

We booked this morning (07/02/07) for the 10th at 5:40 at Le Cellier for the 8:15 show!!!!! So excited to see Steven Curtis Chapman!!!! My friends from church are jealous!!! But now they want to go~~~
