The Odessey at Epcot

What the heck was that, I went to Epcot in the early years but I cannot remember what it was

It was a restaurant somewhat on the border of Future World and World Showcase.

I ate there a couple of years ago for special events. I was there for the Winemakers Dinner for Food and Wine and a Mother's Day lunch/buffet.

I understand that the old Odyssey restaurant is now used for special occasions like during the Food & Wine Festival. I believe it's also used for Cast Member training.
I find it useful as a handy rest stop between WS and FW. The rest rooms on both sides are usually pretty quiet as most people don't know you can go inside.

I also like to use those rest rooms. They are so quiet and peaceful. On one side particularily it is empty most of the time. There is also a set of pay phones inside the hallway. It's a great place to make phone calls without all the background noise.

I remember the old Odyssey. It was a fast food type of restaurant and they used to have characters there during lunch time. I remember when my kids were little we would have lunch there and the kids loved the characters. They would put on a show. I loved their lunch salad, it was a trio of different types of stuff like tuna, etc. Every time we go by the place we think of our old memories. I miss it. Yes we do like to use the rest rooms, they are always clean and near empty. It was a good place for lunch, a good option when you were in Epcot. Like other Disney restaurants, sadly it closed. It is now used for business things and other venues like during the Food and Wine Festival.
