Wow thanks for putting that info out there. It takes time to do all that. pirate:

So, Rob, what's the story on the memorial on the VB property. Someone mentioned it on another thread. I thought if anyone knew about it, you would be the one. Did you have a good trip?

Hey Deb, You have stumped me. I have not even heard of it. I think starbox is headed back down there in August, we'll have to put to the task of finding out.

We did have a good trip, but just last night Mary Beth was already talking HHI in the fall and a cruise next year. I sometimes think she must have a hidden stash of points somewhere. Have a good 4th!

I am heading down there this week and will try to check it out for us. I don't remember the memorial from my previous visits, but that was a number of years ago.

Thanks Rob!!! Great having this all in one thread!!!

It looks like only a minor change on Shutter's menu from April. Changed the Prime Rib to Pot Roast and added a Cheese Burger. Still no Veggie entree.

Thanks for this information! We are going for our first time in October. I printed this all out.

Thanks so much for putting all that awesome info together:worship: :flower3:
I can't wait to go to VB next summer:goodvibes

Thanks for this, Rob! BTW, did you happen to find out if any of the GVIR's had the coveted King Bed? :beach:

I think I read on the other thread that the meorial was placed there by fellow cast members in memory of another departed cast member. It is there along with a tree "pondside".

Rob thanks for doing this. I would recommend Ti ammo Sempre (in the fine dining section). Have been there several times and the Veal Parm is wonderful. Plus they had a deal where wine was included if you mentioned you were from DVC Vero.

:sad2: No. On the train trip down DW & DD were playing cards and needed something to keep score with. I had my little 3x4 spiral notebook with me and let them use it. This had all my questions to answer and tasks to complete in it. The next morning after the steward unmade the beds and stowed them the notebook couldn't be found. I was playing it by memory after that, which at times hits capacity. :upsidedow

Thanks for all the effort on this Rob. Nice to have all that info posted.

I see you are now over 2 months smoke free, good for you! Hang in there.

I'll think of you when we arrive at Vero 10/6. 4th floor IROV requested per your excellent advice.

Thanks again Rob. This is going to be very helpful in the future when there are questions. A picture is sure easier then writing an answer (well for me anyway).

I played around in google maps a few months back and have one for VB. If you click on the pin or the listing you will get it's info or location. The red pin is the DVC resort. The shopping places are in green and restaurants of interest are in blue (IceCream in yellow!)

A few questions to any of you that have been to DVC VBR before

Where is the nearest grocery store?

Any local outlet shopping?

Things to do in the area?

Things to avoid in the area?

Unique local dining establishments?

I'll take a couple.

Publix is the closest grocery store...around -2 miles down Rte 1. When you leave resort you right to first road go left to RTE 1. Turn right. On left side of road.

There is a mall in Vero Beach but you must go into town and it is on the south side.Same route as above but when you get to RTE 1, turn left. I am not sure but I'd say at least 10-15 miles. It has cinema there.
