this is such a great and touching movie. i saw it yesterday and i creid my eyes out. it was hard to control it. :D
i was wondering if anyone else had seen it, and if it had the same effect on them.
and if no one has seen it yet, then i would totally recommend it... IF you like romance movies... :)

Just got back from seeing it. Great movie! I cried occasionally, and laughed at parts also! Sending you a PM. ;)

Just saw it last night. It was sooo good! However I was stunned at the end. I couldn't figure out how the movie was going to end, the whole audience was just crying and sort of just sat there...

On a funny note... THe scene were the young couple are getting undressed in the plantation...just when she takes her clothes off... THE MOVIE STOPS, LIGHTS COME ON, AND COMMERCIALS START ALL OVER AGAIN!!! Everyone just sort of laughed because it was such bad timing, it really interrupted the flow of the movie. I just thought it was funny how everyone was sort of laughing.

I saw this over the weekend and just loved it. I spent the entire last hour of the movie crying!

It's such a touching love story, really makes your re-evaluate what you have.

I could hear a bunch of people all sniffling and blowing there noses. Lots of folks were crying in my theater!

This is my absolute favorite book and I was looking forward to the movie coming out for a long time. My wonderful husband suggested that we go this weekend (a total surprise because it is NOT his kind of movie). I LOVED IT!! I cried ... hard...several times, but really enjoyed the movie. I felt that it really kept to the spirit of the book.

Suzi

PS The gentleman on my right (NOT my husband) cried like a baby through the entire movie.

The book was incredible. I just love Nicholas Sparks!! His books are all so touching!

I really enjoyed the movie as well! I liked the performances by the actors playing Noah and Ally, but I loved James Garner and Gena Rowlands! And I also enjoyed Sam Shepard's performance! Very moving show and the circumstances of the senile dementia made it all so tragic.

I saw it today. Went to a matinee solo, and loved the movie so much that now I want to share it with everyone!

I have not yet seen the movie but have read the book, I have read all of Nicholas Sparks books and love them so I can't wait to see this movie. now if only I could drag my dbf with me!!! I think this is going to be a "girls only" movie.......

Well, if you like Sparks' books, you might want to run and buy The Wedding (the sequel.) I read the first four pages of the first chapter and really enjoyed it. Not enough to buy it though! ;)

I am going tomorrow night with firstmickey and brernurse. I guess we need to bring a box of tissues!

Saw it tonight with a friend.....

what a touching story. There was only about 8 people in the whole theatre and we all just sat there at the end. I think all 8 of us were crying.

Very well done. A MUST SEE!
