Ugh why is work always getting in the way of vacations?!

right!?? But I think we figured it out and while I’m not thrilled I’m actually really happy with the new plan!

I would aim for earlier if you can! We got there at 3:10 am which sounds crazy early lol but we were able to park super close to the security area. They opened security at 3:30 and we were amongst the first people through so the character lines and coffee lines were really short. By 4 the lines for everything were nuts. Plus the walk to the corrals was ridiculously long lol- it felt like we walked a 5k just to get there.

3am it is! haha the guys are going to not even make their race!

I think it's realistic. We were towards the middle of corral B and took our time and stopped for characters and everything and were back in the car at 730.

I can work with this!

I saw a ton of posts in Facebook groups from people race mornings who were taking Disney buses that took forever to show up or were in so much traffic they were afraid they weren't gonna make it! Mike thought I was insane for making us get there so early but once he saw the lines he was like wow I'm glad we got here early! The line for Joffrey's alone was scary lol.

Some kind of record for me! Lots of updates all over the place lately!

So in sad sad news we have canceled the previously booked May trip... this mostly came out of when i counted out my vacation days i was short for the year, and leaving no room for any days around the holidays, or any other trips that we may want to take last minute or other wise.

So we moved the May trip to November, School is closed at a minimum 3 days that week (Jersey Week, we do live in NJ after all). So i was already counting this week in my vacation days so we moved our Disney trip to then. Pluses and Minuses to that, but over all i am really happy with the choice. It reduces the number of days we have to take Dillon out of school,plus fixes my vacation day problem. However our APs will have expired and chances are we are not renewing....

However then DH says well we can always go for a weekend, and that got my wheels spinning .... so now i am considering a quick Memorial Day trip, legit would be Friday night to Monday afternoon. We have points so we could stay at the Swan/Dolphin for pretty cheap, but the flights oh the flights! I need to decide if its worth the cost of flights.. the rest is pretty reasonable, or do something more local... So i booked some ADRs today just in case, and we will see. Can I sell myself on this trip!

February plans sound good!! So we did the boarding group for ROTR in December but it seems like it just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Like the other day they were gone in 1 minute? I saw a post that Disney is surveying guests on what they would prefer in terms of how to ride and I honestly wish they would just implement fp for the ride sooner rather than later!

Also I JUST binged Schitts Creek in the last couple of weeks and I love! I'm so bummed that they are only going to have one more season! Love all the gifs

I always keep an excel file with my total days off I get and how many I want to take. We had a pretty big issue though where I forgot to account for DHs time hahaha thankfully we were able to rework the trips to get him four days to rollover to next year (well two if I get my way for August - which I am sure I will haha) Im in the same boat where I want to take a F&W trip but I have no extra days to really use and I don't really want to do it over the weekend since that's when EPCOT is the craziest!

I keep track too, but for some reason i totally miss counted, plus another trip that will use 3 days came up last week (and its totally free, so that's a must do). Rob doesn't get any vacation days, or he doesn't have a limit depending how you look at it so he just rolls with it.

Right Weekends are good for now vacation days but the crowds!

I have really been MIA around the boards lately! Things have been a bit crazy by me, work is crazy, i have been working late to try and get everything done before we leave in 4 days, but i doubt it is going to happen so i will probably need to work a bit on this trip, which is fine but not ideal.

We also have another quick adults trip less then 2 weeks after we get back from this trip. We are heading to Miami, its a trip for/from my husbands job but i am really excited! It will be moistly relaxing which will be a nice change of pace for us!

We also found out Marens day care is closing we have less then 6 weeks to find new care! So i am a bit all over the place, i have been reading around the board but just not finding time to post enough!

So i am going to a quick run down of the last 2 days of plans!

Day 4 and day 5 plans!

Hopefully i wont get home to late or be to hung over cause the guys have a race so i am on kid duty in the morning. May go in the pool or relax, the kids have races around 1, so we will do that Dillon is really excited. Which reminds me i need to get Maren an outfit for her race!

After the races we will head to Epcot, and check out the arts festival,i expect it to be pretty crowded, but we will deal, we have FP for Figment and Frozen (also living with the land but expect we may skip it).

I hope to hit up most of the food and drinks i want the night before, so i plan on doing the Festival of the Arts Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt! Dillon will love this and maybe check out the paint by number activity.

We don't have a dinner ADR so we will either grab something at food booths or grab an ADR.

I am hoping we can stay around the park till 9ish, but if the girls aren't feeling it we will head back tot he house.

LAST DAY

We have a 12:30 flight so i got an 8am breakfast at Chef Mickey, i keep looking for Topolino's Terrace but i haven't been able to get it at a good time yet. I figure breakfast should take an hour maybe 90 minutes and will head to the airport by 9:30 for our flight.

Now that i type this i wonder if i should do an early breakfast i had 7:30 at Cape May but it seemed to early... UGH I can never decided!​

An adults only trip to Miami sounds great- even if it is for work!

It sucks that Maren's day care is closing. I can't imagine how stressful that is to figure out.

I personally vote for Cape May breakfast just because we like it 1000% times better than Chef Mickey's lol.

He got the trip from work, but he wont need to work. I am not complaining its also all expenses paid....

Ugh the day care situation is WAY stressful and i not at all sure what we are gong to do, do you want to babysit during the day? We are lucky in that we have some flexibility but still a bit frustrating

UGH so would rather cape may, but i think 7:30 is o early 8am is the sweet spot i think for this trip... i will keep stalking!

Well hello and welcome to what i think will be one of the last updates for this PTR! It doesn't look like we will be going again before the APs expire, our next trip will be November, i may get my self an AP for discounts and a tables in wonderland card, but not for everyone.. but we will see (stay tuned for that PTR coming soon!)

First a non Disney update we went to Sesame Street live today and got to meet some characters, and my dad goes to me you are never happy then when your meeting a character here or Disney. So i guess i am just a big kid!

Proof that this is true! Is this sizing way off? No idea what i am doing, i updated my computer and everything is all crazy now!


Anyway, back to this trip. I started packing and the weather is all over for our 5 days, 55-85 is the range! So i am a bit stuck in that its a short trip but i feel like i need so many options for the girls clothes! Plus the day i am running looks to be WINDY! I uess worst case we buy new clothes... What a travesty that would be,,,

But i thought i would give a sneak peak of some of our outfits. Cause why not!

We are a large group so i got us these shirts! I am really excited to wear them!

Drive by of a quick update! So there is EMM on Thursday and this trip is supposed to not be a splurge trip but I saved what like 4K by canceling my May trip so I have some wiggle room?!?!

Anyway we had a lot of success with EMM in August and I mentioned it in passing to Rob. He said book it.

But by then the reservation for 5 was gone, I grabbed 2 and kept searching for another 3, finally get it but I can’t make a second reservation on my account. So I logged into my cousins account but she is only linked to me, So I can’t assign to rob and Maren, so that didn’t work... so I call Disney, 30 minute wait 45 minutes in and the call drops, call back 90 minute wait and I waited all 90 minutes and there is nothing they can do. I explain the situation and they say since there is currently nothing available they can’t help. I ask for a supervisor. I’m searching the whole time for the reservation, the supervisor comes on and starts telling me there is nothing she can do. When a reservation for 3 pops up on my screen! I tell her she puts me on hold and 20 minutes later we are going to EMM on Thursday!!!!

If I didn't require 1000 hours of sleep to recover from my shifts I would say yes lol but I'm basically useless half the day!

This PTR has come to an end.... I don’t see any more trips being booked on our current APs.
However I’m debating starting a new one we signed up today for wine & dine race weekend so we are pretty locked in here!

Our current debate is about where we are going to stay, so many options and I don’t love any of them just yet.

Awesome! I wanted to sign up so bad but I'm still not 100% when we're going to WDW this fall. But I know if we don't sign up when general registration opens it'll be sold out ASAP so idk what to do!
