The next DVC resort-what do you want?

I would like to see another one that is not attached to a deluxe hotel. In those cases, it seems like the DVC resort was an afterthought and we end up with less of a view, etc. than guests staying in the main hotel a few feet away.

I still think we would enjoy Eagel Pines. Close to MK, theming that we like, etc.

I would also love AKL but would the villas be near a savannah? Would they have to build another one for DVC. I don't know if they would do this.

What would you like to see?

Personally, I think if they built one anywhere near MK or on the monorail line it would sell at a record pace.

Another off-site to add variety and value to the program.

I'd love to see a DVC resort in the Northeast, Vermont for skiing or a beach resort. It would be great to have an option up this way! Something on the west coast would also be a great option.

Something off site..... perhaps the Caribbean??? That would be great!! Micky and Minnie at the beach! I would buy there.

A new resort up by Magic Kingdom, especially along the monorail (is their even any room left?). That would be lovely.

I agree the "add-on" villas at BC and WL do make it feel like an after thought, with not as nice a view and more walking to get to where you need to go.

Years ago there was supposed to be a resort past the Contemporary, where you could see across from Ft. Wilderness, down in that area. I think they could squeeze in a DVC there, add a monorail, and I'd be in Heaven.

Animal Kingdom with a Savaanah view.

That land near the Contemporary was originally planned as a resort, but surveys have shown that it is unstable and nothing can be built there. It's too swampy.

I'd personally love an AKL DVC (you could mirror the buildings on the back side of the savannah), but there is lots of room on the Epcot monorail track for a resort. It would require a switch at the TTC, but would have direct monorail access and a quick trip to Epcot.

Put one on Castaway Cay! The ships are only there three days a week. Put nice stuff in for the DVC folks at the resort but when ships aren't there we could use the other half of the island too.

And how would one get to and from this resort?!?! :)

Oooh, I like that idea about a resort on Castaway Cay. We've taken 2 cruises (and have another planned for August) and CC has been our favorite day by far. I'd even be happy if they let the ship stay overnight so we could have 2 days there - but a DVC resort--sign me up!

My vote would be for some place in the Carribbean or some wonderful island with great beaches, etc but a little more developed then Castaway Cay.

Re: Castaway Cay - And how would one get to and from this resort?!?!

Hm.m.m.... Plane? They've got an old runway.

How about taking the Magic or Wonder? The Magic makes it's last stop at Castaway Cay. They could set it up so you take an interupted 7 day cruise: 6 days on board then a week at the resort and 1 day back on the ship when it comes arround again. Gee... I wonder how many points that would take! :smooth:

Maybe use comercial airlines to get to the Bahamas then ferry or puddle jumper to get to Castaway Cay?

I know... Pixie dust! :hyper:

I would love to see a DVC resort on the monorail, or one in the northeast maybe close to Cape Cod area, or the Caribbean/Bahamas, or Disneyland...

West Coast sounds good, as does the Caribbean, but a Monorail resort would be the only one SURE to get our money! :)

We have no interest in owning at a 'spread out' resort like SSR or OKW. While we'd love to try them sometime, we like the convenience and amenities found at the deluxe 'hotel' like resorts. Once again why DVC is great - multiple options for different tastes!

How about the moon or Mars?

There is about as much chance of either as there is of any off site DVC resort.

Their experience trying to sell VB and HH has completely negated the chance of their ever being another offsite DVC resort.

I want something with a little better chance of happening, OKW sized rooms. EP was supposed to have these. I just can't call it a vacation being crammed into a BWV sized room.

I don't care where it is, EP, monorail, anywhere, just give us some decent size rooms.

I can't recall ever hearing that said before.;) Here we go again..........and again.........and again.........
