I read earlier but had to run before I could comment. Sounds like a nice, not so lazy, lazy day. The Fort sounds like so much fun. It offers so much so you don't have to be bored when you aren't at the park or DTD.
Yay! 31 days!
Can't wait to hear about MNSSHP!
lol it's ok.
It was SUCH a fun day. The best of the trip def.
Loved your River Country pictures. That was the highlight of the the vacation in the 70's and 80's. My kids couldn't wait to get there and then didn't want to leave. Their favorite memory of River Country is that they had the best chocolate chip cookies in the world.
Oh that's so cool. I dont remember the chocolate chip cookies unfortunately! I'm glad you enjoyed the pics!
I like your exploration pics of River Country. I miss that place. Sounds like you had a nice and relaxing day at FW. Can't wait for more. Hope your able to get a tent site for your next visit...that would be a cool experience.
I miss it too! I knew I had to get some pictures for my Dis friends who remembered it!!!
I keep checking back for a tent site. But Ft. Wilderness has gotten so popular apparently, I can't find anything for when we can go!
That is so neat that you were able to get some pictures of deserted River Country! I have never been there or seen any pictures of it - I hope Disney does something with all those buildings. Can't wait to hear about the Halloween party, I've never been to that either!
I was SO freakin excited to get those pictures. Such great memories for my family. I wish they'd do something w/them too, even just for the campground. So sad...
Thanks for reading!
Love the pictures from the day at the campground. The bike riding looks like real fun. OMG I can't believe you have pictures of River Country. I went there when I was 8. That was my first trip to Disney and we went to the Magic Kingdom of course and River Country. Wasn't there a part of it that you feed goats. I have a picture of a goat trying to eat my jacket and that's all I talked about when I got home. Or was it just a water park. I remember, I remember. Thanks for bringing back memories of my first trip. I can't wait to see the halloween party.
We had such a good time riding bikes that day. Very nice to take a break from the parks and relax!!
That sound similiar to my first few trips too! MK and River Country! We also went to Discovery Island as well, also now closed.
The goats weren't at River Country, but close! I think you're probably thinknig about the petting farm at Ft. Wilderness, which is right in the same area, near the gates. And it's still there I believe!
I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures and memories!!
Thanks for reading everyone!!!
