well tomorrow Jerry has to fix some plumbing in his mothers house....its sold and its something they agreed to do..... before the closing so I'll probably just be swimming all aday again....too hot for anything else

We actually got a little relief from the heat yesterday....I can not imagine not having central air....in the heat.....I would DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!hehehehe

well we don' t have central air but we do have air conditioners which were sufficient for the amount of heat we usually get. This summer has been HOT...unlike any I can remember.

Jerry's gone to work on the plumbing.... Mike's going to bring down our 8 track player and try hooking it up to our stereo. We have a bunch of old 8 tracks we want to try to play later it will be interesting ....and Justin is going fishing......I guess I'll go take a swim

The only reason I say I like the heat better is because summer is so short and the winters are too long. I like all the seasons..... as you begin too bore with one a new one comes along...its just that the winter one is too long and lately it stretches right thru spring

Stepdaughter has been having contractions today but so far is still at home.....we're waiting to hear if we might be getting grandbaby #2 tonite!!!

Hey Everyone - glad to see that you all have been keeping the thread active! I always enjoy spending a few minutes catching up on the news here at the S/D house!!

Ann - let us know when that grandbaby shows up - I just love babies!!!!!!!! I want to see a picture and hear all the details.

Teri - thanks for asking if I had been around. I have a rather bad habit of lurking more than posting and I continue to find it hard to break I visit here at least once each day but I just don't always feel I have much of substance to contribute so I end up not posting.

It has been a rather sad weekend for us - my little sister's best friend died Thursday. He was to be her "best man" at her wedding in October. Needless to say, it was a great loss to her and to his family and friends. Too young at only 28....

On a lighter note, I went bicycling with my dh and dd (she was in the bike trailer) this morning. I am the world's worst bike rider so I was rather impressed that I managed to make it out and back without serious injury. I am determined that I will get more comfortable on a bike but it make take a lonnnnnnng time

Having said that, I have an announcement!

I HAVE A NEW GRANDBABY!!!

Madyson Jo was born a couple of hours ago.....we have no details other than that mom & baby are fine. Actually we were told last night by SIL that things were not progressing and she was staying overnight to "rest" but might get sent home in the morning. Methinks it was a ploy for privacy at the hospital, but got everyone (except them of course) a night's rest

Anyway....off to wrap the stuff I got in July at DTD and head overto see them!
