Yuck! Weather report for today has it near 100, with a heat index of over 115! Where the hell am I - Arizona???? Oh, but I forgot - that's a dryyy heat.

Walked to work from Port Authority - about 12 blocks - and thought I was gonna DIE...but still better than subjecting myself to the subway - TRIPLE ICK!!!!

I could go for a nice banana smoothie about now...ahhhhh...

it is very warm in Maine too.....I think it is trying to get my body ready for Disney in let me think.....sixteen or so days....if US AIR will cooperate.....Hope you all had a good week and would love any of you to come to chat some night....tonight it is on Disney resorts.....would love to see you all......

SSB SSB SSB..........is that a promise or a threat? LOL (Note to self - schedule next trip for a time when SSB is on one of his many trips out of town hehehe). DD told me my shrieks sounded like a "dying pigeon" when riding Space Mountain for the first time ......I wonder if that's different from a screaming schoolgirl .............

DD decided on a last minute overnight to the lake with her daycamp's CIT group. DH and I will be needing to spend quality time in the comfort of the one air-conditioned area of the house tonite ...... staying cool, .........etc.......

But at the moment......help........ I'm meeeeeelting!!!

Weather a little cooler here this week as well.....However, DD and I were just caught in unbelievable rain...Flooding everywhere...2 hours to get 20 miles.....AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! It is days like this when I am soooo glad I drive an SUV!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, all that running around was for George's birthday tomorrow...But we were unable to finish everything...Hoping for a break in the rain...so I can venture back out...

Oh yes, and must do transcription tonight...So with everything going on....I will be MIA for a few days....

Aww thanks Debbie. It is the truth. When people hear that I meet other people off of the internet I get theses weird looks (sure you all do too) and of course such negative remarks. Well they are wrong, I have met nothing but great people from the web. Well all but maybe 1 person.

Sorry I was MIA yet again...

Work,work,work on Monday, then, yesterday was madness from beginning to end, starting with Amanda @ 7:00, continuing through the entire day (And will continue today I am sure, even tho I will be at work) then trying to get the schedule for work finished (It is not, yet, and I am supposed to have it ready today....), ending in the ER with Michelle at 12:30 this morning.
And that was my day off from work ---how was yours?


I think there is a problem when I go to work to have a less stressful day....

Interesting...I have 2 b-days in my family today, a brother and a nephew. George, are we related???

Have to drive to Massachusetts this afternoon to take dad to a consutl with my Mom's doctor about her situation Not looking forward to the drive in this heat OR the appt. And of course I wake up dizzy this morning...I think it's psychosomatic.

sorry I wasn't around last night Christine... I went shopping at BJ's...always spend a fortune there and then when I get home I have to find a place to store all the stuff

some jerk pushed one of those flatbed carts into Jerry's truck while we were inside Jerry was a little upset just finshed cleaning and polishing it ...the new dent just stuck right out there

its going to another HOT HOT HOT one today...hotter than the the others......I'm melting too Ann. I think someone fron down south came up and stole our weather and left theirs here we want ours back

Glad to see everyone is doing their part to keep this board moving - wow the pages are just flying by!!

Ann - Thanks for checking on me - I have managed to survive without my dd (she is 2) for the last couple of days. It has been fun having the freedom to come and go as I pleased and I got my hair colored/cut for the first time in AGES but I will be very glad to see her again this afternoon. I guess everything worked out well enough on this visit that we will have to schedule another one before too long.

Sue - hope things are looking up after your difficult day off. Sometimes a "regular" day at work is a real godsend, you know?

Teri - give George a big Happy Birthday wish from me. Hope you enjoy a nice day together!!

All of you suffering from excessive heat should head here to Dallas today - it is going to be overcast and only 86 degrees - not bad for Texas, huh? Of course, EVERYTHING here is air-conditioned so it doesn't make that much difference anyway but it is nice to have an occasional cool day in August.
