The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

Patsy, I'm sorry you had such a scary night. I'm glad he is better today!

Sarah, we'll have to see about those pictures.....

Dd10 and I had a girls' day today. Katie went to daycare, and we went to the movies.

I was feeling so guilty about taking her to daycare again, but she went right in, stood up at a play table, and refused to turn around when I told her bye! She is doing great there, and we haven't had any other problems. I still don't like the owner, but the workers are great. When I picked her up this afternoon, she had only taken 1/2 of one bottle. She is drinking whole milk in her sippy, and they said she is their best eater. Since she is nursing so good at home, I may quit pumping and not worry about it. It would save me so much hassle at work. I already have 2 bottles for tomorrow, so I told them to see if she refuses and we'll go from there.

I got 2 free tickets to Alice in Wonderland for spending $100 at disneystore.com. I wasn't really excited about it. It is 45 min to the nearest theater, and it didn't look that good to me anyway. But dd10 was excited about a day out without the baby. OMG-it was so good! We both loved it-not what I expected at all!

Thanks everyone, Lucas seems to be doing a lot better!! I got some Pedialyte at Krogers while I was out and have been alternating formula/pedialyte bottles.
I might give him some crackers later to munch on, too.

Robin, you can at least post pictures of the back, right?? :)
I haven't seen the new movie, glad you guys enjoyed it!!

...anyone taken a ~1yr old to the zoo?
DH figured out his leave up until the month after the baby will be born and turns out he'll have enough time to take our beach vacation in May, 2 weeks after this baby + a long weekend over the summer.
I was thinking about going up to Pittsburgh for the long weekend. (Hitting IKEA, Sarah!!) and the zoo/aquarium. Plus, there is an outlet mall on the way with a Carters and Gymboree. hehe.

I think it'd be a fun trip, especially since Lucas hasn't shown fear in anything yet. I think he'd get a kick out of the animals! He liked The Living Seas so I figure he'll definitely get a kick out of the aquarium.

We took Alex to the Rainforest here on Monday. He could care less about the animals, but LOVED the fish. I think we looked at the fish tank for about 30 minutes.

I'll see what I can do about pics tomorrow. I can wash it then-that is the real test!

Katie loved the aquarium at the dr's office Friday, so I'm sure she will love the aquarium at Epcot! She sat and giggled at the fish the whole time we waited.

How concerned should I be...

Alex slept through his 3am feeding this morning, but ate at 7a, noon and 4pm. I just tried feeding him again but he wanted nothing to do with me and went right to sleep. (He ate his normal oatmeal, veggies and fruit no problem.)

So he's eaten 12 ozs from a bottle and once from me today. Normally he eats right before bed at 7p and around 11p...we've had at least 4 wet diapers today so maybe I'm just overreacting on the fact that he doesn't want to eat. No temp (though it was elevated but not low grade) and gave some gas drops just in case. I think I've covered my bases and I guess I just want someone to tell me I really am overreacting.
Maybe I'll start being concerned if he doesn't want to eat at 11p?

I wouldnt be too concerned. Maybe he is just not hungry. See how it goes tonight, but usually as long as there are wet diapers they say not to worry.

Maybe it is something in the air-- Allie went to bed without a bottle tonight for the first time- she refused to eat it and started crying! I SO hope that she isn't up in the middle of the night!

...It must be the air. Plus a new moon. Ugh, work has been terrible because of this new moon! Crazy, idiotic people today. And it's warm in the house today. I cracked a window in his room thinking the fresh air might help some too.

I have to post today since it is Allison's Birthday!! I simply can't believe how fast this year has gone by- it is CRAZY! I know you all agree.

Here are some pics we had taken today at Sears...

not a lot of time atm, but Chanon- Lucas cut waay down on eating and waay up on sleeping when he got his first teeth.

He's not eating much at all right now.. but I'm still alternating bottles.

$3 off coupon for Huggies on Coupons.com! I couldn't find it under my zip but did under 90210.

Sarah, ever eaten at Blue Mountain in Twinsburg? If not, it's an awesome place for Sunday brunch! (We are going Sunday and just wanted to make sure you knew about it!)
eta: the restaurant, not the fact that we were going... :teeth:

Good Morning!!! It's FRIDAY!!!

I don't know who brought the plague into my house but I'm sick of it. :rotfl:

I can no longer hear out of one of my ears. I'm coughing again, getting sick again... we're a lovely group of people, lemme tell you! Gah!
I'd go to the doctor but I don't want to take Lucas out. :(

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Our plans are probably falling through because of Lucas being sick.

Sorry to hear that your still sick.

Both DH and I have been fighting this  for 2 weeks now. I have had the worst pressure in my head, it's making my teeth hurt. I went out today and bought a nasal rinse (Neli Rinse) Haven't tried it yet but hope it works.

So the plague isn't just here, huh?

It's miserable to be sick this long!
I hope that things makes you feel better!

Everyone at work is blaming me for getting them sick. Probably cause I keep complaining. DS5 and DD both had ear infections, I think there coughs are just about gone 3 weeks later. Now DD is cutting an upper tooth.

On a happy note we are in the 60's today, not to bad for northern new england. :)

Ohhh it's gorgeous here, too! I've got windows open.. my cat is in heaven. I think it's about 64.

I don't know that I could go any further north than West Virginia.. it's too cold HERE, much less all the way up there!

Lucas has his top 2 teeth coming in, too. As though the cough from heck wasn't bad enough. They're taking their sweet time, too. His bottom teeth popped out overnight.

We have actually had a mild winter this year, I think the lowest temp we got was in the single digit during the day and - single digits at night. It didn't even seem to last to long. We didn't even get much snow, most of it's melted now. We still have a little around our house, we are in the woods and have tons of trees that keep it shady.

I keep trying to talk DH into moving down south somewhere. I hate that I have to drive over an hour to get anywhere. I keep seeing great deals at stores and they are to far away. :rotfl::rotfl: Plus it would be warmer.

Lilliana's bottom teeth came in around 5 months, pretty much at the same time. She has become so cranky too.

DH goes back to work, he got at job at the VA Hospital. It's exciting since he was in the military so his time will follow him. He has been staying home and watching the kids, now my Dad is going to do it.

Rambling... Bored at work today.:upsidedow

Hi ladies! I haven't posted here in oh.... about 7 months since my little man was born. Things have been quite crazy with an infant and the fact that we are due with a baby girl in August! Irish Twins!! I can't believe I have a 7 month old and am 4 months pregnant. Hope you all have been well, I can't believe how big all the babies are!

I have heard really good things about that sinus rinse. I have a good friend that uses it any time she starts coming down with a cold and it knocks the cold right out! She said its a little rough getting used to, but SOOO worth it.

Augh, do NOT send your plagues here!! Elliott is getting baptized on Sunday!!
