Welcome!! and congratulations on the little one!

I have all our one year appts. on Wed. so I am going to ask then. I have wic that day too... They havent had milk since saturday, and they still have the poos... I am wondering if it isnt a bug of some sort now. They both had massive sharts this morning... all morning.. after their morning bottles. I gave them water, and no food.. They have held that back. Since saturday I have gone through 2 30 packs of diapers. I guess we will wait this out, and see if they get better on their own. I am hoping it is just a bug. I have given them milk before with no trouble. GAH. I hate poop.

Thank goodness for naps today! Yesterday, Elliott barely slept during the day at all! He was up at 7, slept for 10 minutes on the way to church, slept half an hour on the way home from church, slept another half hour on the way to DS's soccer practice, and then was up until his normal bedtime of 9:30. And, unfortunately, he was overtired, so he was up every two and a half hours. Today he took an hour nap this morning, and now has been sleeping for the last 2 hours. Hopefully he will catch up and get back to normal!!

He has outgrown all his newborn outfits right now. I have them washed up and set aside for my best friend, who is having a baby in June, so if she has a boy, they are on their way to her. His newborn sleepers just look so tiny now!! And he was swimming in them when he came home from the hospital. I have to go get him some clothes now. He only has about four 3-month outfits, so it is time to get some more. Pity. I will have to go shopping!:cool1:

Definitely thank goodness for naps!!

LUCAS NAPPED TODAY, too!!!!!!! I was soo excited. I had a crapton of homework to do. Brought him down this morning, put him in the living room with his blocks and various toys and he played for awhile. Then we cuddled and he NAPPED in his swing for 2 hours!!!! I was so excited.
I had a college algebra test to take (well, I'm working on it right now) and I was dreading him having a bad day today. I was so excited when he fell asleep! I shoo'ed the dog and cat out of the living room and shut the pocket door. :rotfl:

Now that my Hershey bar is gone I must return to my test. :(

Patsy, I feel your pain! I had to take my test online last night. I left dh with the kids and went to his office (across the road) to take it in peace! I thought I had a 5 page paper due this week, but it is 8 pages! Obviously, I haven't started. I have an 85 without it, so I'm tempted to blow it off. But I won't.....

Katie loves her sippy cups. She gets one with meals. She loves apple juice and regular milk. The ped told me small amts of everything is fine. She doesn't care too much for bottles. She is down to 2 a day at daycare, so I'm only pumping once a day at work now. She still LOVES to nurse, though!

Lucas has zero interest in a sippie cup. I wish. I bought some of that Mots for Tots stuff to try to get him to drink out of a sippie cup but he just throws it on the floor. :(

I really don't want to do regular milk in bottles, but I might have to gradually do 1 sippie cup of milk a day to ween bottles out. Do the whole thing where he either drinks it out of the bottle or he doesn't get it.
I'm really scared of him getting jealous of the new baby having bottles, so I'd love to ween him ASAP... but with the baby coming just 3 months after he turns 1, I'm thinking I might be in for it. I'm dead serious when I saw he is THRILLED when he sees a bottle. He smiles and laughs and starts shaking! It's cute (and a bit terrifying, sometime he shakes so bad!) so I'm not sure what to do. blah.

I finished my test... I got an 86.7. I missed lxl=17. :rotfl: I can't see the correct answer until after midnight but I'm trying to figure out how I missed that. It would help if I could remember my answer. It seems like such an easy problem.

Anyway, off to do the next section's homework which is also due tonight (ugh!) and I have 12 journals to turn in by midnight. I majorally procrastinated! :rotfl:
Journals are stupid, though. 3 a week, 100 words each. For my human development class. He loved my last set because they were all about the ultrasound/hearing the heartbeat. I'm out of material this time around, lol.

Am I reading that right-absolute value of x equals 17? The answers are 17 and -17.

I am taking the day off from my homework! I'll try to start my paper tomorrow.

Patsy - What kind of sippy cups are you using? With DS5 I used the Nuby - they are soft. I had him off bottles around his 1st birthday. Lilliana is the same, she throws her sippy in the floor and loves the bottle.

jake uses the nuby right now! its great.... especially for getting him used to it!

MWAHHAHAHAHAHA

I figured out that we can upgrade our MYW passes in August to APs...hehehe
SO here's my plan.
1. Have a fantastic August trip.
2. Convince DH to upgrade to APs at the end of said fantastic trip.
3. Rent DVC points for December trip, use APs and save $200ish instead of getting MYW passes for each trip.
4. Go back August 2011.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA (It's funny how the possibility of going in December has turned into 3 seperate trips.)

I love your evil laugh, and plan!:lmao: Sounds like a good plan to me! I'm going to have to check into the renting pts thing one day. I don't know anything about it!

I have Playtex and Nuby both. I alternate hoping that he'll eventually like one... nope. On the ground!
I see his pediatrician next week for his 9 month and I plan on asking them for advice on what I should be doing. I don't want him snatching bottles from his sibling!!!

Yep, absolute value. I swear I put that. Maybe I messed up and only put one or the other. Or maybe I mistyped.. or maybe I put the right answer with a period instead of a comma so the computer counted it wrong. I'm eager to see the test tomorrow (I can view it after midnight) and see if there are any I can e-mail her about to get partial credit. :rotfl:

I've already taken this stupid class but as a business major. The education department is making me retake it to get a new grade. :headache: They're sticklers! At least I don't have to retake statistics. Thank goodness for that!

What is your paper on? I wonder how Lisa is doing with school. It's nice to have other moms to vent about homework with! :lmao:

It's complicated, but totally worth it. Especially with the AP and during a time like the week before Christmas, which is like value season for DVC, but Holiday season for the resorts.

The only issue is waiting until August to get a DVC reservation for that week.:santa:

I always went that week and as long as we checked in by the last day of value season, the entire stay is billed a value season. So we always paid value season prices but usually left Christmas Eve. muahaha.

*eta*
Lucas is napping again! I'm so excited. It must have just been a bad stretch... 10 days without naps. I am so loving the quiet!

I have couple questions.

I'm falling behind in providing enough milk for my little one. He is drinking 3oz and I am only giving 2oz per pumping sestion and was wondering if it was ok to use different formulas to fill in feedings so I can catch up? I got a few different sample formulas and was wondering if it was ok to use the different formulas as he finishes each kind or do I need to pick one and stick with it? Also this info will be good for when I go shopping and buying what is on sale or have coupons for.

My other question is

Is there a better time to give the formula for a filler feeding for me catching up?

I can't really answer breastfeeding questions (I've always used 100% formula) but there are some people on here who will be able to give great advice!!

As for switching formulas, some babies can tolerate a difference and some can't. My son can't. You could try the samples and see if the differences bother him and make a decision about which to buy (or to buy multiples) off of that.

I would find the formula that works best for him.. and stick with it. My babies have lactose issues, so we are on Similac Sensitive. But most babies dont have those issues, and Similac Advanced, or Enfamil work fine. Good Start is good too. We have had good luck with Target brands... They have a generic of almost every brand out there. But just test him out, and see what is the best for him.
