Has anyone done the Wishes Dessert Party? This is at MK right? My DSis and I are trying to decide if it would be worth and extra $27 each to go. Is anyone going during Nov 26-Dec 5 thinking about going? It would be neat to meet some fellow DISers at the party. Only 96 more days until me and DSis are at Disney! Whohoo!

My sister and I did the Wishes Desert Party and are going again this year on. We had a front row seat and Tinkerbell flew right over us. I think it is well worth the money.

Shhhh folks! If we keep posting our favorite places to watch parades and fireworks and such Disney will keep coming up with added prices, with a bit of food thrown in, for our favorite places.

Anybody but me notice this???

The dessert party to watch the MK parade and fireworks, the remodeled Cantina at EPCOT has turned into a TS at night so that you have to eat there to get the seats we used to get for just a few nachos.

Good marketing on Disney's part. I have no doubt that we will come up with other places to go though. The one thing we have going for us is imagination!

We will be at Disney from 11/28 - 12/3. We're going to MVMCP on Dec. 2nd. Already received our tickets!!!! Although I had to hide them from DD, as she wanted to sleep with them at night. We are also planning on visiting the new Harry Potter park one day, since our DS is a big fan. We'll be at POR with free dining, and can't wait!!!!

Tazicket (DW) and I will be at AKL from 11/28 to 12/3 and at Coronado Springs from 12/3 to 12/5. No MVMCP this year. Been there, done that enough. Going to Vicky & Al's instead.

We are staying at SSR in a 2BDV November 28 through December 4. It is myself, my DH, my DM, and DS (26 months in November). This is DS second trip. We went last January and he loved it. Cannot wait to see his reaction this time

We will be going Nov. 28th - Dec 4th. We are staying at the Yacht Club. I was hoping to get the GF or BW DCL. Nothing is avail. I keep checking.

We will be there the same dates as you! We are hoping to go to see Harry Potter on Wednesday. We are staying at BWV with boardwalk view (2-bedroom) and are so excited too - we rented points so we didn't get free dining but it ended up being same cost if we had stayed at moderate so we are very happy. Maybe we will see you there! (if you visit the boardwalk, look for a big green lime Mickey in the window and that will be our room)

and Jackglick - we will be neighbors (sort of). Wave hi to us from the Yacht Club!!

That sounds like fun!! The next time we go, which be be a little while, there will be 3 kids, so I will definitely be looking into renting points. It seems like a really good deal, especially if you have more than 4 people. We'll be visiting Universal on Wednesday or Thursday, so we're hoping the crowds are lighter by then!

Hi Everyone!

Our trip is 11/28 - 12/8. It is me, DH, and DD (7). We are staying at POP with pin code from 11/28-12/5 and then off to Universal for the last 3 nights of our stay. We signed our daughter up for a Y.E.S. class and got discounted park hoppers. We are going to MVMCP, but haven't decided which date yet. Since we are spending a lot of money on the Universal portion of our trip (staying onsite, going to Blue Man Group, etc), we booked POP - this is our first stay at a Value resort, I'm curious to see how it differs from a moderate or deluxe. My biggest concern is bus transportation! We are so excited for this trip, first time going to see Holiday decorations!

We are staying at CBR from 12/2 to 12/8 and going to MVMCP on either the 5the 7th. There is no discount for buying tickets early for the 7th, does anyone know why? That's my son's bday and I thought that would be a wonderful way to spend his bday.

I noticed alot of you are going to Universal. If we want to do a day at Universal - how do we get there? Is it an expensive cab ride or is there a better way - shuttle or something?

We'll be spending 4 of the 5 days at Disney, so we'll be in the parks with you most of the time!! Two families at a time should make for short waits!!

I think the discount drops off after the party on the 5th because that is when you're within 3 weeks of Christmas. I'm betting that Disney thinks they will have a bigger crowd for the dates closer to X-mas, so they don't offer the discount.

Also, for going to Universal, we drive down, so we have a car and won't need any transportation. In reading through the boards, it seems like a lot of people use Mears Transportation. (You'll have to Google them, I can post a link until I make a few more posts ) I think I read that it costs about $18 per person for round trip transportation. They also have a cab fare calculator on their website. It may depend on the size of your group as to which option would be best. Hope this helps!!
