The NEW Week after Thanksgiving Crew Planning Thread! 11/28-12/5?

Yes, we ARE all busy getting ready to leave. :rotfl:

It is like this everytime. When I see the garage door go all the way down and turn out of the driveway I breathe a sigh of relief and then a prayer that I remembered everything, at least everything important. Only when I drive under the Disney arches do I feel like I am truly on vacation and then I refuse to fret until a couple of days before the trip home.

See you there!

Slightly Goofy

We will be staying at Contemporary 11/28-12/4  Our trip has evolved so much from the day we opened the Monster pin code that made this trip possible...but I think we are done with the planning and now the waiting begins! :woohoo: One big change is that my hubby's parents will be joining us for a few days. They are 80 years old and have NEVER been to WDW :scared1: Sooo excited to be able to do this for them! We are going to the MVMCP on 12/3, but unfortunately they won't be able to join us that day. :sad1:

Hope everyone's trip is magical! ;)

How exciting that the grandparents are going! You are NEVER too old to go to WDW!! (we almost had to cancel our trip but at the last minute everything clicked, money came in unexpectedly - I only wish my DS32 & his fiance could go. They originally were going to go but just found out they are expecting a baby so thought they better save for him/her. I'm still trying to convince them ;) )

Hope you all have a grand trip! We are staying at BWV with boardwalk view :woohoo:

I have so much left to do befor our trip!

First halloween, I haven't put up decorations yet, - I didn't even get a pumpkin!

Next DD's real birthday - she will be 8 on 11/12 - we will have a small party for her. I haven't even begun to think about that!!

Finally I'm hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 20 people!

I still need to make a countdown chain and finish my scrapbook from last years trip!!

Happy one month left, y'all! :)

WOOHOO!:woohoo::banana::cool1::yay::cheer2::santa:

So DD and I got our countdown chain finished yesterday!

Today I need to put up the Halloween decorations and grocery shop.

Next on my list will be to plan dd's birthday party - any suggestions for an inexpensive fun birthday party for an 8 year old girl?

After thats planned I'll work on my Disney packing list.

And finally Thanksgiving dinner!

Off work today! Going to work on packing list and pre-packing. Family thinks I'm crazy, but that will change once it get even closer and we don't have to rush.

I just hope I can fit everything in carry-on luggage..... Here's hoping.

I have 20 days left until we leave but we are spending the first week near, but not AT, Disney. :)

Slightly Goofy who has SO much to do!

Hi Guys!

So, so excited-our trip is a mere 26 days away! This trip will be our first Christmas time, MVMCP, double birthday trip, with my family and both of my sisters.

This trip will include me, DH, DS11, DS4, DS2, bigsis and lilsis. We have 2 rooms reserved at POP and upgraded the FD to the DDP-hopefully the connecting room request comes through. We will arrive 11/27 and sadly depart 12/4. We have a 30 hour RT drive ahead of us. The 15 hours down are exhausting but, at least exciting, the 15 hours on the return home are not as much fun!

We have all our ADR's made: Coral Reef, Garden Grill, Le Cellier CP package for bigsis and lilsis, Crystal Palace, 'Ohana, T-Rex (birthday lunch for DS11 and DS4-they both have the same b-day), Le Cellier for DH and I, Via Napoli for sis's and the boys, 50's Prime Time and Tusker House Breakfast!

Can't wait for Dole Whips, Grande Marinier Slushies, the new Caramel shop, and the bakeries.

We have our MVMCP tix for 11/30, we have been to MNSSHP twice and loved it-it was so much fun! We are really looking forward to the Christmas Parade, all the decorations and Holiday Wishes.

DS4 is finally tall enough to ride everything with the exception of RnR. He is way excited to ride ToT, Space Mtn and EE-he is a little daredevil!

Now, I just have to finish packing. I have all the extra things just about ready-just have clothing left and will have to wait on those things.

I hope everyone has a great, safe, magical trip. See you real soon!:goodvibes

Rekenna,

We have some of the same ADR's, I wonder if we will be there at the same times?

We have Garden Grill at 4:45 on 11/28, Coral Reef at 8:00 on 11/29 and LeCellier at 8:00 on 12/1. We also have Crystal Palace at 8:05 am on 11/30, Kona Cafe at 8:00pm on 11/30, Les Chefs at 5:00 on 12/2 and Rose and Crown at 7:45 on 12/3.

Anyone know the current fantasmic schedule for 'our' week?

Fantasmic is showing on
11/29 at 6:30 & 8:00
12/2 at 6:30 & 8:00
12/4 at 6:30 & 8:00

I have a 5:00 ADR at Les Chefs on 12/2 - do you think I can make the 8:00 show?

It's getting closer and closer to leaving day. Now I have to hide all our documents so my kids won't find out we're going to disney this month. I can't believe the grandparents haven't spoiled the surprise yet...let's pray they keep their mouth shut for just 25 more days.

Fantasmic is showing on
11/29 at 6:30 & 8:00
12/2 at 6:30 & 8:00
12/4 at 6:30 & 8:00

Depends on how soon you get in to Chefs and how fast or slow the service is going. I would think you'll probably be ok, but you might not get close seats for Fantasmic depending on the crowds. Having three (six) showings that week might help keep each crowd from being too terrible, and the late crowd is usually smaller than the early one. Even if you need an hour and a half to eat - which would be long - you'd have another 1.5 hours to get to DHS and get in line for F!. I think you'll be ok.

Thanks golf4food, thats what I thought too! We will probably arrive at Les Chefs around 4:45, so we don't miss Remey!

I finally made my packing list! I'm getting excited!

I also planned my Thanksgiving dinner menue, the only thing thats not going smoothly is DD's birthday party planning!

I decided to have her party at AC Moore, they have a classroom and do craft parties, sounds purfect! However I have called 3 times now to find out what dates are available and they keep telling me that they will call me back and they never do! Her birthday is Nov. 12, I need to get this planned!!!

I'm late to the thread but my family's FIRST disney trip is the 11/29-12/3 we are staying at CSR. I am beyond excited!!!

Happy first trip kbsparks! Wishing you and your family a fun and memorable trip! Take in all the magic you can. You actually arrive a day before us. Different resorts though.

I am so excited for everyone - our days are getting closer!:banana::banana:

Rekenna - it is so cute that your DS4 is getting excited to ride some of the big rides! Sure wish we could snag a dinner at 'Ohana - I didn't think my vegetarian DS28 would like seeing those skewers of meat but he said not to plan dinners based on him and I've been trying every day to get an ADR but with no luck. We will be in MK on Monday as it will be the only night we can view Wishes from inside MK (we're not attending MVMCP).

Our plan so far is to visit HS and/or Epcot on arrival day (11/28/10), then MK on 29th because of EMH & Wishes, Epcot on 30th and wherever else our feet take us, AK on 12/1 (EMH) and no plans for Thurs or Friday.

I plan to put a lime green Mickey head on my camera case plus a big one in our window at BWV (we will have boardwalk view). If you see a reddish/blonde lady in her 50's with 3 grown sons (all of whom are quite handsome ;)) say hi!!
