The New Tagliarchy! The Official Tag Fairy Fan Club!

I'm the newbie, that no one knows... but I just got back from the mall..

I have an interview tomorrow and I'm kind of nervous about it..
It's the job that I think I really want. Of course I would rather move to Florida , but they aren't calling me. ( Companies that is).
I'm not sure what to wear or what I even have to wear.

Buckleybunch, what kind of job? what kind of interview? do tell.....

It's a customer rep for Diebolt Election systems.. It would be helping customers with the election systems- training them and if they have problems we would walk them thru the problem. There is a little travel involved.. Even with little ones that interests me.

This is the email the recruiter cc'd me on- it's going to the manager that will be interviewing me.. So I don't want to blow it.. lol

Don,
Good afternoon! Linda will be in next Tuesday afternoon to meet
with you. Her current employer is currently going through financial
difficulty, so she is looking for a new position. As a testament to her
character, she is still working there to help him out! So, she is basically
volunteering her services.... ;-) She had excellent communication skills
over the phone and was incredibly personable and outgoing. Her salary
expectations are .... Let me know how it goes!

I just don't know what to wear. The interview I had on Friday for another company I wore Navy blue dress pants and a blue shirt with the white collar and cuffes. I think this interview needs to be a little more professional..

I would be very conservative. a dark suit, not too many frills.

Evening everyone! Still haven't had a chance to post pics from the wedding. Hopefully tonight I'll be able to do it.

Good Luck on the interview, Buckleybunch!!

Let's see, New Year's Eve....I think I'll head over to llebrekniT's house for a while, then head home probably around 9 or 9:30pm. Watch the ball drop, turn the lights off & go to bed! Pretty exciting, huh? Although Lainie (DD-1) is feeling bad today & if her temperature comes back she'll be going to the doctor tomorrow.....so who knows what is in store for us over the next few days!

Good Luck on the interview, Buckleybunch.. IMHO a suit is always appropriate for a job interview..

Chocolate hot Fudge Sundaes with Chocolate Chip ice cream and M&M's..for all and expecially the TAG FAIRY

HI, I"m MRS Buckleybunch. Do I have to wear a tie??
I don't know if I have any suits that fit me now..
I keep getting smaller ( I was 246 then I had the gastric bypass and now I'm 117- and just tried on a size 8 and it's way to big).

Maybe not a tie but how about a nice scarf? Something to dress up the pants, white shirt, and jacket..Good Luck hope that you get the job...

Congrats on the weight loss... that's terrific..

I might have to go shopping while DD is at the dentist office tomorrow..

Thank you!! The surgery was worth in IMHO.

Linda

Buckleybunch-defintitely a suit and definittley go shopping. It will make you feel better about what you are wearing and what your are looking like=power. You will feel invincible and thus hireable during the interview. Up your confidence level that much more.

I am going for eye surgery-Lasik- 1-15-04. Have thought about it for a good while and finally decided to bite the bullet. Wanted to do this in plenty of time to recoup prior to Disney trip in July 04. Wish me luck and many tags from the tag fairy....as well as pixie dust on my peepers for perfect vision after the procedure.

dawgfan - Good luck on your lasik surgery. I have a friend that had it done in Sept. She is so happy that she did it and wished she had done it earlier.

I am going to go shopping tomorrow.. Just don't have alot of that extra green stuff this week to spend.. but I believe it will pay off.. :)

Thanks everyone.

Buckleybunch, after that much weight loss, something skimpy might do well...seriously, I repeat, something conservative for a conservative position. it doesn't have to be new or expensive, just nice with only a touch of color. you have to dress to your audience. I have a good friend that landed his first tech job because he handed in his resume on dot matrix paper. They were looking for someone who got things done and didn't want to delegate tasks. Again, he tailored his resume to his audience. You will hopefully be representing Diebold to election officials. You will be training them, and should tailor your image to what these people would expect from you. I don't think an exposed navel with belly button rings is an appropriate outfit, nor do I think a red evening gown. I would suggest a suit, or a basic black skirt with a conservative blouse. nothing over the top, and nothing too expensive. You also don't want to appear as an excessive dresser. OK, I admit it, I am not the best one to ask fashion advice from on this forum. Anybody else want to help me out?

Welcome dawgfan, grab a chair and pick a color. I had Lasik done last year and am very happy with it. The new Wave front stuff is actually much better than what I had done. I was seeing almost 20-20 when I left the surgery, but I had to rest my eyes for a couple of days. I can't stress enough to follow your Doctors instructions, it will speed up the healing. It took me about 8 months before I was released and could stop using the eye drops. My vision now is between 20-15 and 20-20. One drawback is I have to use my visor (magnifier) for close in work now, but that is because I am over 40 and I would have needed it anyway in a couple of years. I am completely happy with my surgery. There is very little chance of anything really bad happening with Lasik, I have heard a couple of horror stories, but I checked out my Dr. fairly thoroughly and he has not had any complications. One thing you will find is that each Dr. says that "They Fix Everybody Else's Mistakes" Guess what, I used a Cornea Transplant surgeon to do mine, so I know it is true with him. Actually, the biggest warning is to make sure the machine is not one being transported from town to town and that it has a place where it is permanent. Almost all of the horror stories I have heard are about one doctor (the one who advertises day and night on the radio and has done several thousand surgeries), or from a traveling Laser.

OOPS, I am ranting again, please don't put me in Time Out!
Have a cup of Hot Cocoa to get you to sleep everyone, and have a tagged night!!!!!

Oh, I almost forgot... I got a PM from Mad4Mickey. She is living her life day by day and they haven't figured out what happened to her neighbor yet. She appreciates the PM's and Pixie dust, but I think she is having a rather tough time of it. I want to take this opportunity to publicly wish her lots of Pixie Dust, and Prayers. May this new year be a better one, and find your friend in a better place.

One more thing that deserves it's own post,

I found a website set up by Roy E. Disney about what he is doing to save Disney. I just thought you would appreciate a link and a quote.

www.savedisney.com

"There is an old saying, "Are you a man, or a mouse?" And this is one case where, I think, the mouse needs to teach Mr. Eisner how to be a man." - - Lorne B. Sibrie

We have not heard the end or Roy, or the Disney family.

Thanks Ohanafamily...I feel comfortable in my choice of surgeon here. I have opted for standard Lasik instead of a custom surgery mapped to the eye. It was just right for my situaiton and custom costs too much...$1000.00 extra. I too heard the horror stories and wondered and worried but this precedure has become pretty common. I am confortable in my decision. I too will eventually have to trade my glasses that allow far sight for reading glasses as I age. I am not there yet but it will be soon. We just put in a pool and I am landscaping and dreaming of sun and water with sunglasses and no need for my seeing glasses anymore. It will be a great experience. One that I have not had in a while. I began needing glasses about 12 years ago.

Hey RRBB about the color wheel. I have yet to figure it out but I have chosen Cadet Blue (being a cadet from Georgia Military College) and the number is #5f9ea0. How is this applied?
