That's great!
Make sure you have the same room I was talking about though. I think the one you are describing is a Premium Studio... still an awesome deal (and it probably comes with choice of a view) but it isn't two separate rooms (if that is what you want). The Junior Suite is two different rooms and it and the Premium Studio were quoted at the same rate to me. It's just that he said there weren't many Junior Suites in the hotel.

Either is a steal as far as I'm concerned! Glad you got a great rate.

ooohh now i am curious, i am going to research the junior suite. 2 rooms for the same price?

thanks

update...i just called about the junior suite and they quoted me $269 3 nights and $306 for the last 4.

Ugg.. too bad it jumps like that. You must be straddling 2 different "seasons". Good luck with whatever you decide.

We just booked a Junior suite (2 rooms with 2 baths, 2 tvs) in June for $249 a night. There are other varieties of either larger rooms or suites available. Call and ask about the pricing. I don't think you can see the suite prices on-line. One negative about the Junior suite is that they don't come with a resort view. We also considered getting two adjoining rooms which would have been $149 each - a few bucks more with a view. We stayed in the Junior suite last year and the place is huge! We loved the Dolphin and the awesome location and the fact that it's about 1/2 price of a similar sized and quality Disney resort.

I did just call and they quoted me $279 per night for AAA. It is 650 square feet with 2 doubles and a sofa bed. thanks for posting the info on it or i would have never called.

That's great!

This is great information!!!! I will definitely consider this junior suite option. It is still less than a WDW Deluxe resort deluxe room/junior suite/or 1 bedroom villa. SWEET (PUN INTENDED) :rotfl:

I have a friend who is a teacher, and is planning her first ever WDW trip.

Can anyone give me an idea of the teacher discount for July? If not what were the discounts like last summer?

Thanks!

I just called to check and see if better teacher's rates were available(I reserved my room in august, got a Teacher's rate of $189/nite) Well, the new rate was $149/nite!!!!!:goofy:

If I am not renting a car, how should I get from the airport to S/D? I am used to Magical Express and before that, I took Mears. Is that option still available? I will be alone so the most economical for one person - and something safe too!
Thanks!

Mears still offers transportation (not ME). I believe you can call and reserve in advance.

Please don't beat me if I'm asking something taboo because I honestly mean no harm. But can I bring & use a toaster in my room? Before anyone hangs me the reason I'm asking is because I was just recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease which means I can't eat gluten. Add to that the fact that I'm deathly allergic to eggs and you take out a majority of the breakfast foods. I don't want to eat just potatoes and meat for breakfast. My stomach isn't going to be able to handle that. Oatmeal is off of the gluten-free diet because many Celiac patients can't handle oats. I have found some waffles that are great and sustain me very well. There are a few places at WDW that sell them but they are all TS and I don't think we can get ressies there every single day.

If we can't bring the toaster no big deal. I'll just get some milk & Rice Chex. I was just looking for a little variety.

But I am so disappointed because I loved getting my apple turnovers and such for a breakfast on the run.

Hey Dan! Thank you.

Thank you too llqool.

Hopefully within a month I'll have something better in place for my breakfast options anyway. I'm still new to this and trying to figure out what works best for me and what stays in my system the longest.

I would have to think you could use a toaster if you were extra careful to unplug after each use. I bring an electric teakettle with me when I go "down the shore". But, if you are worried about it - I'll bet if you called ahead of time to ask, you might be able to have Picabu's toast what you need - as it is for medical reasons. :confused3 "small appliance"-wise, is it that much different than bringing a blowdryer or curling iron? Good luck!

Off topic but we go down the shore all the time.(I love that phrase!!) Ocean City NJ to be exact!!

And here in Vermont they say "I'm going downstreet!" to mean going downtown. :) BTW - just booked my flights for July! Woohoo! I know it's early, but when it's under $200 rt pp, I tend to grab it! Can't wait!!!

(AND make my annual August reservations for DOWN THE SHORE! :beach: )

We checked through Orbitz and we're going down on United and coming back on Delta. I never know if prices may get cheaper or not and it's such a gamble to wait. Figured I'd better snag it - that way it's paid for early, and I can work on getting the Poly and Dolphin rooms paid off!
