Are the heavenly beds only at the swan? I love that bed and love the Swan but am willing to give the Dolphin a chance if they have my bed

For all the regulars on the thread - let me tell you - Sideshow Bob is twice as charming in person as online! :goodvibes

(It was very nice meeting you! :tinker: Hope to see you again next year!)

Perhaps I will cross paths with the charming SSB on our trip late this month. One can hope...:goodvibes :)

My guess is that you probably could find a cab, but I would be more comfortable knowing I had a towncar waiting...

I totally agee with Dan and Nancy. :) I hope to cross paths with SSB next month and plan to add more great pictures of the Swan & Dolphin here too! :yay:

We just returned from the Dolphin and used Florida Towncar (a sponsor on this site). We were very pleased, especially with Leonard who returned us to the airport. He was not only pleasant, but a wealth of info!

Quick question for the experts. Is there a bus that goes from the Swan/Dolphin to the front entrance of Epcot? We plan to go at rope drop, so I'm assuming that it would be better to enter from the main FW entrance, rather than the back WS entrance. Any ideas? We will have a rental car, so we could drive if needed.

I'm pretty sure there is no bus to the front of Epcot. It is very peaceful to enter thru the International gateway at Epcot and see the countries empty. I don't know if it would make much difference time-wise to drive or walk, but it will save your legs. We have always walked and never found it difficult.

Gosh this is a long thread - been reading pages and pages getting good info!

We're staying at the swan - couple of questions (bet I'll think of more in a bit).

First - do you get charged if you ask for a specific type of room? I would love a nice view - don't really care of what, just something scenic. I just don't want to be looking at a wall or something like that. Advice here would be most welcome.

Second - do they do the animal towel thing here?

Third - I heard something about turndown service -would love more info on this please.

Fourth - I read somewhere that there is no ticket desk at the swan, is this correct?

Fifth - how long is the walk to the grotto pool? I know my daughter will love that one the best.

Last (for the moment anyway) - general idea of items and prices at the Java bar?

Rope drop from either end is about the same, not a whole lot of difference. No buses to front of Epcot.

1. We've never asked for specific room view - but have always been "upgraded" to a balcony because we are SPG members
2. No "animal towel" in the four years we have been ...
3.We used to have turn down service at the Dolphin- not this trip, however :confused3
4. There is a ticket desk at the Dolphin - but the hours are only during the day.
5.Grotto pool is further from the Swan than from the Dolphin, but not tremendously so. (of course, my mom thought it was a very long walk from the Dolphin,:rolleyes1, but she is 70 and has bad legs.)
6. I imagine the prices are similiar to the Dolphin's Lobby Bar in the morning - (muffins, bagels, yogurt, bananas)-a little pricey, but not really any different than Disney breakfast in general. Another nice option is the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast...

have fun! :cheer2:

The walk in through the International Gateway is wonderful in the am before the World showcase opens. We always enter this way and it is for us we consider it a perk for staying at the Epcot Resort area. :thumbsup2

Just chiming in to add that there is a ticket desk at the Swan - and it's actually easier to find than the one in the Dolphin. It's on the corridor that leads to the east elevators.

I agree! I love walking past the United Kingdom and Canada as I head towards The Land to get my Soarin' Fastpass. :)
