Hi everyone! I think you people might be the most knowledgeable bunch of people for my question: Are reservations required for breakfast at Fresh? We are staying at the BWV and are planning on having breakfast there one morning, it looks like a wonderful option! :goodvibes So any help would be very much appreciated! :thumbsup2

Usually we just "walk in", but I do remember once where they were booked and the next available table was too long of a wait for our schedule that day. If you are certain of a time/date that you want to go, I'd make the reservation, just to be safe! Don't forget to try the homemade fruit preserves - they are heavenly!!! :hippie:

PS: - plan on a "slower paced" breakfast... not the place to pick if you are on tight schedule. We always plan it on our "relaxing day". :goodvibes

I'm getting very excited for our upcoming stay at the Dolphin. We have a 2br executive suite booked for 10/28-11/1. Thank you to the person who posted about the starpicks rate! It saved up $250 off our room!
The one thing I am getting a little nervous about is our view. I was told when making our reservation that there are no different categories based on view, so essentially you get what you get. Can anyone tell me what they got? Do the suites generally have good views? I really don't want to spend that much and get a view of the dumpsters.

Thanks!

Yay, just got an e-mail from the manager saying they got my celebration request (finishing my masters in nursing) and upgraded my room to a resort view!

Thanks for whoever suggested e-mailing them.

Hi lovetheduck!

We had a 2BR Executive Suite at Swan earlier this year, and the view was good. We had views (and balconies) facing 2 different areas since our suite was across a corner - we could see the waterway & Friendship boats from one side, and the backside of The Boardwalk resort from the other. There was a small courtyard just below us (we were on the 3rd floor). I've never stayed in an Executive suite at the Dolphin (have one reserved for Novemebr though!) - but I'm the girl who had the dumpster view over there in a standard room!

I have a hospitality suite coming up at the Dolphin and would like to know that also. I don't even think it has balcony :confused3 Hope it at least has plenty of glass to look out of.

Hi there!
We reserved an executive suite at the Dolphin as well -we are leaving in 10days :banana:. I've called and questioned to death about location. The only thing that is consistent is that none of the executive suites have balconies and that they are all located over the resort. I requested a high floor suite so here's to some pixie dust that I get my request! I will be posting when I arrive.

REading all the posts has made me want to leave today. Can't wait for our Thanksgiving trip.:yay:

Hi there!
We are arriving on the same day for Thanksgiving trip! Even though we are leaving soon and then a 6 week break before we return- it's always tons of excitement going back to Disney and to the Swan/Dolphin!
Have a great time and Enjoy!

I stayed in a 2 bedroom executive suite at the Dolphin a couple of years ago. We loved all the room. Our view from the living room/king murphy bed was of an inner courtyard and the Swan. Our view from the double/double room was of the inner courtyard and another wing of the Dolphin. (We had a corner suite.) The view would have been ok, BUT we were in the section with all the crossbars in front of the windows so we really couldn't see anything. I'm not really much of a view person so it didn't bother me. I can see how some people would have been very disappointed.

What did you request? Whom did you email? And how far in advance?

We'll be there on my son's birthday.

It is a good starting place, but keep in mind that there is no guarantee that you will get an upgrade or even if you do it seems that it is rare that they tell you (email etc.) before you check in.

In my case, they noted my request and will let me know at check-in. But I can wait, as it is only 15 days till the Dolphin!

If I don't get one no biggie. I never ask at Disney resorts. But I figure it can't hurt to try.

Different question -- what's the " spring pool"?

Effective October 1 (including any stays with checkout dates of Oct 2 or later), free night award and cash & points award stays will now count towards elite tier qualifying status.
