It's gonna take me some time to warm up to the new TV Guide.

I mean, I liked it in its classic, small form.

Now? It's like a magazine. A real one. Lots of color, lots of boxes, lots of crazy lists and reviews and numbers and....lots of lots.

*sigh*

Bring back the the pocket TV Guide!!

The kid I formerly babysat (since she's 14 and can babysit herself now) is disappointed too. She said she liked the smaller one because it was great to throw in your pocketbook and take to your friend's house.

Don't ask why she takes TV Guide on the go. The point is that it was MUCH easier when it was small.

Anyone in love with the new TV Guide? Care to help me warm up to it??

Well, I love it! Maybe it's cause my vision's going......... they say the eyes are the first to go. :earseek:

I haven't seen the new but I HATED the old one!!! But since my satellite TV has a built in giude (9 days out with key word search) I don't need to read a printed guide.

Our TV has a built in guide, so its pretty cool.

No, no the mind is the first thing to go.

I don't get the TV guide anymore. When we got digital cable the remote has a guide button and that list every channel and what is on everyday of the week.

My digital cable box had the built in guide too but sometimes its so much easier to flip through the tv guide to see whats on.

ITA. I don't like the new TV Guide either but since I got the subscription for free and it expires next month, I guess I won't have to deal with it for long :flower:

I only get it because of a free subscription and never use it for the listings, just the articles.

I got the new version last night and instead of reading it in 10 minutes like the last it took me almost an hour - there is DEF more in it. So that I like.

I don't get TV Guide, because I only have very basic cable and it would probably make me cry to know what great shows I'm missing. ;)

I don't like the fact that it just has the networks, but not the channels.

Like it'll say
"CBS CSI 9pm"
but it won't give the channel CBS is on.

*sigh*

Ok, now I'm not only jealous of folks with TiVo, but now I'm also jealous of digital TV Guide.

We subscribe and haven't received next week's issue yet so I haven't seen it. I'm wondering if we're even going to get it at all, because the new issue usually comes on Monday or Tuesday of the previous week, and today's Friday...hmmmmmm.....I'm NOT looking forward to the changes though, I LIKE it being small and I HATE change!!! :guilty:

Another person who doesn't care for it. I liked it much better in the original form!

Same here.

I agree as well. I really liked it!! :sunny:

I got mine yesterday and I like it as a magazine but not for the T.V. listings. Is is just me or were there only listings for prime time? Even for Saturday and Sunday's I couldn't find daytime listings. Maybe I was just tired when I looked at it last night.....

I hate the new version of TV Guide. The articles are cool, but as far as the TV listings, it stinks! And I didn't see any of the VCR plus codes. (We are old fashioned, no TiVo in our house, just VCRs). I don't use that much, but I know my dad does and the fact that we can't find the VCR Plus codes stinks!
