Oh, and lest I neglect to mention who handles our laundry in our household. Neither one of us. We drop it off in the morning as we walk to the subway, then one of us picks it up when we come home at night. It's a cinch! And we don't even have to fold!

And nope, not originally from NYC at all. In fact my father was a doctor in the Navy so here's the run down: Born in San Diego, CA and lived there for a year. Moved to Peabody, MA and lived there for a year. Moved to Boston, MA and lived there for 6 years. Moved to Yokosuka, Japan and lived there for 6 years. Moved to Orange Park (Jacksonville), FL and lived there for 4 years.

Then my folks moved to a suburb of Schenectady, NY (ick) and I stayed behind in FL and went to UF for a year. Then I transferred to Stonybrook University on Long Island and went there for 4 years. I ended up working for the schoold as an orientation leader and RA so I had room and board during summer and winter breaks. Never really lived in upstated NY.

Graduated and moved into Queens, NY and have been here in NYC ever since, for 15 years.

Wheew!

Guess that makes me well rounded. Like Uranus!

RRBB, told DH I was going to call a "bug company" and he said he'll spray it himself. I love that he's a do-it-himselfer, it really is nice to be married to a handy-dandy man. The only problem is I have to add reminding him to spray for bugs to his honey-do list.

Now that we are speaking of DH's, mine is hotter now than he was in his 20's. He lost a bunch of weight a couple of years ago. I wish had a picture of him with his new Metrosexual haircut, but this is one taken last year. (he'd kill me if he knew I was posting his pic. he-he) He's on the left:

The schools were closed today due to snow so DS9 and his friends have been swarming around while I've been reading this thread.......I think I've diverted them so they haven't read everything but DS9 just asked why everyone is so interested in URANUS!

Thank heavens he's with his dad this weekend or I'd be bonkers! He really is a great kid but I've had him and 4 like him over all day and I'm ready for some 'alone' time!

At 5pm, DS9 leaves with my ex, I break out the wine and the fun begins...........
