Whewie! Guess you guys had fun last night, huh? Kinda like a conversation movie, I had to fast-forward through the real chatty-parts (read:Ohanafamily talks about DVC). Ohana how 'bout some good ol' techie-talk for a change? You are going to have to be put in a long-term DVC time-out!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_4_111.gif' border=0></a> Stay! Don't even think about coming out until you are ready to talk about chocolate and where we might go on our virtual trip, stuff like that again.

I have some issues to address:

So has everyone had a good day? Mine was OK. At the minute I'm busy looking in hair magazines as I am going for my hair cut at the weekend and can't quite decide how to have it done. I think I'll take it in to work tomorrow and get the girls to help me choose.

I just wanted to tell you that when I read your posts you sound just like Mary Poppins,<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_4_106.gif' border=0></a> love your accent.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/741.gif' border=0></a>

Speaking of movies, I have a recommendation for those people to whom I am still speaking. :snooty:

But be warned...this movie is not for those of you who do not like...what did you call them before Deadheadbelle..."conversation movies"? (this means you llebrekniT ::yes::
;)

Ahem, excuse me? Are you talking about me? You wanna pick a fight with me?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_9_140.gif' border=0></a> Is that how it is, hmmmmmm? When one is the object of much ridicule, find the nearest sucker<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_4_37.gif' border=0></a> and turn all heads in their direction? I would think your hands would be far too busy<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_6_2.gif' border=0></a> to point a finger in my direction, at this particular junction in time........

Just look what you got started -

OK I will ask the dumb question.. what is a conversation movie???

A conversation movie, if I may, is blah, blah, blah, blah-blah-blah-blah. I'm no action flick chick, just like some action, you know? AND, I'll have you know I watched all of "Seabiscuit" with nary a magazine or catalog to be found.::yes::

I will answer the last question at hand - cruise or WDW? I got sick (not the flu) on our cruise and it took me three days to get my land-legs back afterwards. I do want to go back again, but I'll probably go to WDW 1/2 dozen times before we do. In other words, I chose WDW!

I'm going to start on my work<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_4_101.gif' border=0></a>. Back later!

That was YOU that was going to OKW! I thought you were someone else earlier this afternoon....I got so confused!

I think you will really like OKW. It is a great resort. It is NOT a moderate or value as some people on the DVC forum try to make it sound like. It it truly a wonderful place! Hope this helps!

Wow!! Thank you AZKathy!! I also got the map. We do have a car, so we aren't worried about the bus issue. We ate at Oliva's last Aug. and thought the building looked so pretty that we wanted to stay there. We're staying in a studio (it's just me and hubby) and we're not staying long (unless I can blindfold, gag, and tie hubby long enough to get him in a park)....we're going down for the big race.

I found out about the boat on the DVC board (hence my new tag...thank you TF!!!!) and that sounds like fun.

To all of you --- this is an amazing thread. Cool new house, lots of folks who are GREAT cooks, and best of all...fat-free, guilt-free chocolate, who could ask for more??? :)

Ginny

Morning.. making breakfast.. how about Mickey waffles, grapefruit, StarBucks coffee and BIG chocolate chocolate chip muffns..

gdulaney where are you staying at OKW.. we have found that Miller's road area is not a good place with a car because there isn't as much parking near the unit..In most of the other areas you can park outside your door, but in Miller's road you may have to park down a bit.. we do take the bus to the parks because we are the people that take the 7:10 am bus to the early morning park. We use our car more for grocery runs, eating off property, going to Sea World, AKL, Sports complex etc.. On the other hand, we aren't interested in driving anywhere because we drive down and that is a 20 hour drive..

YUM! Toss me a BIG chocolate muffin, please geffric.

I got some older Disney pictures transferred to CD. Here's one of me that I actually like - could you add it to the album RRBB? I will post some more pictures in a bit.

This is at Chef Mickey's, I think probably 2 years ago.

GEFFRIC Can I have some Caramel Frappachino with chocolate shaving on top and whipped cream. Sorry I missed the party last night. Sounded like there was a lot of trouble (ohana) stirring and talking. Ah well.....next time.

Good Morning, TAGLIKINS!

Morning everyone....

Ok, today, let's try not to SPAM everyone that can't lig in from work! LOL!

Hope everyone has a great day and talk at ya when I get home....

Good Morning, How about a mug of Fresh Hot CoCoa to go with the Chocolate Drizzled Apple Danish?

We can use the mug we bought last Halloween at the restaurant near HM at DL where they gave us free refills while we were sitting there...I had 3 cups (I didn't count the number that the kids drank!)

Sorry about all of that High-Brained Math, I needed to figure it out once I got started. Besides, I was down in the poker game by 10 Hershey Bars, and 37 Chocolate Kisses!!!!!

:bounce:

I'm not sure where our room will be located. Hopefully near some parking. :)

Hope everybody has a great morning!!!!

Ginny

Go see the Chocolate poll #2 and vote. Nothing to win, but you can vote. :)

Oh, I did find out another trick talking to Member Services last night...I can't stand Cigarette smoke, and last Feb (BCV) the room that we were giving Was Non-Smoking depending on whether or not it needed to be. I don't know which was worse, the smoke or the cover-up fragrance. Since we were just there for a few days, we lived with it, but we both had headaches for the first day of the cruise!!! I called to make sure that our Ressie for May had the "No Smoking" on it, and she told me that she would do me one better..."Medical Non-Smoking". This is a new term for me to add to my request list.!!!!!

:bounce:

Cheeringmom and Huggabaloo, when I read your oh-so-kind thoughts about yours truly, you guys got me so busted! I'm at work and I exploded, laughing so hard!

I think you both suffer from wand envy. You can look, but don't touch.

Rick, did you ever get a hold of the Chocolate Truck?

:bounce:

1) Fly or drive to Disney World? We always fly.

2) Fantasmic or Illuminations? Illuminations. It never fails to get me a bit choked up. I've yet to figure out why.

3) Favorite DL park - California Adventure or Disneyland?? Disneyland

4) MK or Epcot? MK has a special place in my heart so it's my knee jerk reaction fave park. But Epcot is a tight runner up!

5) Monorail or ferry to MK? Monorail!

6) Carribbean Beach or Port Orleans French Quarter? Don't know why but we can't stand the CB! POFQ all the way baby!

7) What is everyone doing on Valentines Day? Well, since JOE is going to be away for the weekend at a Toby Keith concert, then a Brooks & Dunn concert, I'll be sitting at home with the Prince of Darkness eating bad food and watching 80's slasher movies. Sounds pathetic but it's what I do when I have the place to myself.

8) How do you do parks? Depends. Sometimes, though it's getting more and more rare, we do commando. But more often than not, we just stroll around, ride what we want if there's no lines, sit and people watch, chat and joke and do lots of looking about.

9) Fireworks or parade? Hmmmm... well, I'd have always said parade. The Tapestry of Dreams always gave me goose bumps which ended up with a coule of stray tears marking their path down my cheeks. But since the powers that be decided to cancel the thing, I've got nothing. Nothing I tell you! Nothing!

ohanafamily I agree with you totally about not knowing which is worse - the cigarette smoke or the fragrance that covers it up - and more times than not, I have run into the problem of non-smoking hotel rooms only called "non=smoking" because I am not allowed to smoke in them even though the previous guests were. Next time, I'm going to take pointers from you and use the term "Medical Non-Smoking", hopefully that'll do the trick!;)

Sorry I missed the movies and um, poker game last night! By the way, who won, and more importantly, did they eat all the winnings??:p

I really meant to come, but fell asleep with DS9 when I was singing him lullabys. :o Yes, I know you might think he's too old for lullabys but it won't be long before he won't want me to even tuck him in. He's growing too fast.........maybe one of you can come up with a special chocolate potion that will make children stay little and sweet, and then parents won't have to suffer through the dreaded "teenage years"!!!!:(

Today is Cupcake Day at my son's school and guess who is Chair of this committee.....you guessed it, me! It's a wonderful fundraiser where each month, each student in three classes brings in 24 cupcakes (homemade or store bought, we're not picky). We then sell them at lunch for 25 cents each and the kids love it! We have some very artistic and competitive moms and dads who turn out real works of art each month. I'll try to download a picture for you to see......we collected them this morning in the carpool line and there were tons of chocolate ones with red candy hearts.....maybe I'll buy a few dozen and bring them to the next movie night!!!

Gotta run sale some cupcakes (I know, tough job)!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!:teeth:

Rick, you love POFQ too? :Pinkbounc Really guys, I've only stayed there once. Maybe it was because it was such a good trip. It was 1992, a year before I got pregnant with Eric. My sister and BIL met us down there, and we had a ball.

Did I ever tell you about my Disney fertility problem?

Well, during our March 1993 (DL) trip, we drove the 3 hour drive from Rob's parent's condo in SW Florida to Disney, and I had to stop three times. Couldn't figure out why had no bladder that trip. Got home and found out I was pregnant with Eric. :earseek:

During our May 1995 (CBR) trip, Eric was on some kind of antibiotic and had diarrhea the whole week from the medicine. I was so worried. My in-laws were down there too staying at FW. We dropped Eric off with them so that we could go out to dinner. I was crying my eyes out, because I felt so bad for leaving him. They laughed at me. Got back home to Syracuse and found out I was pregnant with Hunter. :earseek: No wonder I had a case of the weepies.

Now everytime we go to WDW, I take a pregnancy test before we leave.
;)

cadburysmom, Sounds Yummie, I haven't had a good home-made cup-cake in.....

Did I ever tell you how good of a cook RRBB is?

Seriously, I look forward to the pictures. And in case I forgot to send you Pixie Dust, Here is a bunch. It is sad when marriages don't work out, especially when there are kids involved. You will just have to teach Cadbury not to be a CAD!

Oh, and RickinNYC, Sorry to askagain, but I think you might have missed my last post...can I help you with the Chocolate Truck? I have connections over there.....

POFQ was the first resort that Joe and I went to with each other so it has a special place in both our hearts. Plus, it's just a neat place and it's really one of my favorites.

But truth be told, all sentiment aside, if I were to pick my absolute favorite, it'd have to be the Boardwalk Inn. Now THAT is a neat place!
