Hi all,
Well there goes another long day at work. Only 3 teaching days left, then a teacher training day, then a week off!!!!

I'm not sure what all the questions are as this thread is filling up quickly. But I can say I do fly to WDW (I guess we can't exactly drive across the atlantic can we!!)
The only other Disney park I have been to is DLP. I prefer the rides at DLP but prefer WDW overall as there is so much more to do there. I like to catch the boat rather than the monorail or walk to MGM or Epcot as we like to stay at the BCV. I like the fireworks and parades equally as much as one another. Oh and my favourite parks are Epcot (I like the world showcase and MS) and MGM (I love ToT and RnRC). I can't comment on many hotels as I have only ever stayed in the BCV but would choose to stay there again on my next trip (I love the location, the rooms and SAB.)

So has everyone had a good day? Mine was OK. At the minute I'm busy looking in hair magazines as I am going for my hair cut at the weekend and can't quite decide how to have it done. I think I'll take it in to work tomorrow and get the girls to help me choose.

Tough choice, but I'm gonna go with ILLUMINATIONS
3) Favorite DL park - California Adventure or Disney land??
Another tough one, but because it's so different from what's at WDW I'm gonna go with CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE
4) MK or Epcot?
Geez, these are all hard to answer but right now EPCOT
5) Monorail or ferry to MK?
MONORAIL
6) Carribbean Beach or Port Orleans French Quarter?
N/A Never stayed at either of them
7) What is everyone doing on Valentines Day?
NO CLUE and even if I did know I couldn't say here for obvious reasons.
8) How do you do parks? Commando, or take-it-easy?
Depends on how long we're there. There have been times we've done 3 parks in one day and other times where we took 2 or more days to do a single park.
9) Fireworks or parade?
I'm gonna have to go with PARADE on this one, although I really love both. It's just the parade tunes are so catchy.

Now I've really gotta scoot. Nephosaurus has a package he really wants me to get into the mail today. Then there's grocery shopping and picking up clothes from the cleaners and...

So anyway, back to my story. You know that guy RickinNYC that comes round here once in a blue moon? Have you ever noticed that he's always talking about his wand? "My wand" this and "my wand" that. So-and-so took a picture of "my wand"..."my wand sure is big and bright." I mean, sheesh! What's up with that???

Hi Joe!!!

And he is always bragging that his wand glows and when he shakes it it gets pixie dust all over Bill (aka Prince of Darkness) aka BOB. Phew. But he never talks about how big it is. Should we have a poll??????

OK, trying to catch up on all the questions:

Hotels:
Oct. 2001 - AS Sports
Dec. 2002 - AS Movies
Jan. 2004 - Pop Century

When my parents took me a few times when I was young, we only ever stayed off property.

Fly or drive: Drive (only about 8 hours)

Fantasmic or Illuminations: Illuminations wins it by a nose

CA or DL?: I have been to CA and loved it but I think I would probably prefer DL since it is the "original".

MK or Epcot?: I like Epcot but between the two I prefer MK.

Monorail or Ferry to MK?: Ummmmm...bus? I've never stayed anywhere where the monorail or ferry were an option.

CB or POFQ?: Never stayed at either but I'm pretty sure I would prefer POFQ (though I think I would like POR even more).

Commando or take-it-easy?: Well, the first two trips I was pretty commando, which doesn't go over well if you have a "take-it-easy" kinda partner. But, on our last trip, I actually enjoyed taking it easy and being (fairly) spontaneous. I think knowing that we would be living there soon made a huge difference.

Fireworks or parade?: Fireworks. Not really a big parade fan but of course Disney parades are much more entertaining than your local "Peanut Festival" parade (no offense to anyone affiliated with any Peanut Festivals across the country).

Valentine's Day?: Actually we're going back down to Orlando this weekend, but not necessarily for VD (and that stands for Valentine's Day Bichon Barb, Cheeringmom, Lewski709 and all you others whose first thought was something else ). We're hoping to finalize our apartment search and I'm hoping to have an interview...supposed to find out this week but we're still going if not. We'll probably just go out to eat for VD. Usually we don't really do too much. The sad part is we probably won't really spend much time at WDW.

geffric, Josh isn't off school. But I DO work for the State of IL, therefore I'm not working on Thursday!!


As far as the questions, I missed some. But I like the fireworks, have never been to DL, haven't stayed at any resorts other than Value, and LOVE taking it easy!!! Did commando before, but like easy much better!!!

Why do y'all keep coming up with such hard questions? I'd rather take a Calculus test than try to decide between Disney Cruise or WDW? I'd prefer to do both!!! Yeah, that's my answer. BOTH, WDW commando style, then cruise to recoup and unwind.

Cheeringmom, can't help you there. I don't have a signficant other to share with . If my husband would not have been a complete JERK, it would have been our 12th wedding anniversary though.

Since I don't have a SO, I'm taking Josh to Branson for the weekend. They have a hotel with an indoor water part. We're so there!!!

I like the jovial spirit of the resort.

He is a jerk not to keep you around. You sound like you have great plans. Can I come? I love water parks but hate the water. Make sense? Not to me either. But does sound fun.
