The new search engine...or Boolean? Venn Diagrams? YIKES!!!

The new search engine let's you do things the old one would not.
As an example you can search on a phrase that the old one would have rejected:

where can I buy a refillable mug?

Basically you can use natural language.

For you really wild and crazy searches it also supports Boolean searchs. I haven't tried all of these out so your mileage may vary!!
Boolean searchs use characters and phrases like + or AND to fine tune a search. For more info check out this Boolean Seach Tutorial

I have tried searches on 3 letters, like DxL. Result is 'not found'. Can 3 letter searches be done? In your example, 'where can I buy a refillable mug', the old search would not search.

It won't throw you out because there is a 3 letter word in your phrase but it still doesn't index words that short.
The reason is that if we indexed all the 3 letter words the database would be unmanagable.
