Well, we came back from our first stay at the Poly and I'm back with just a couple notes and I'll gladly answer any questions you may have.
1) I tried the Tonga Toast and would definitely have it again although it is extremely greasy.
2) I loved the Dole Whip being there so handy!
3) The pool was great, but I desperately missed the hot tub being there. For the first time ever, I considered doing some pool hopping but didn't follow through. I just froze in the regular pool.
4) I was extremely impressed with the beach area, it was truly lovely at night.
5) I was also extremely impressed with the food court. The food was delicious!
6) Compared to the other Disney hotels I have stayed at, the Mousekeeping was horrible. I felt like they didn't do anything other than make beds. Not like other resorts at all.
7) Be very careful when using the Wake Up Call system. Our first evening there, our whole family took a nap and we placed wake up calls so we would be able to make our ADR at Ohana. Unfortunately, neither call made it through and we overslept by almost an hour.
Luckily, we were still able to get into Ohana. When we got back to our room after dinner, I called front desk and they advised that no Wake Up Call had been made for either room. It had. So, I spoke to them to place another one for both rooms for the next morning. The next morning, the phone rung and both rooms picked up to dead silence. Another day, the phone rung and we heard half of the Stitch Wake Up Call, then the phone went dead. Not one day did it go completely through. It was a little sad 'cause I wanted another first timer to hear it... also inconvenient.
All in all, it was an amazing trip. The resort was absolutely beautiful and the first deluxe hotel at Disney we have ever stayed at. I think I will be trying another one in the future though
