PS how COOL to be picked as an extra at the Backlot tour! Do you think that tour is ok for 2 1/2 and 4 yr old or is there anything too scary?

The t-shirts came from Disney shopping online, but I did make us all other matching ones, surprised DH didn't complain, I guess because afterall, it is Disney! hehe

It was fun being an extra...I thought I'd be nervous in front of everyone, but I wasn't at all!! As for scary parts...there is a place where they do a scene with fire and then tons of water rush down towards the tram you're in. The tram shakes back and forth. I guess through the eyes of little ones, it can be quite a bit frightening. I hope others on here also give you input on this as well.

I forgot to tell you...I finally stopped by the place they sell the morning muffins and such at the GCH for you (the name escapes me right now, sorry). Anyhoo, I inquired on prices and the CM said they start at $2.69 but not more than $5. She wasn't very helpful and didn't seem interested in my inquiries, so I didn't ask any further. HTH

First off, I've been reading this great thread ever since I book my Poly res. a month ago, and thanks to all who have contributed to my hours of enjoyable reading.

Now my Q, I've been trying to book a reservation for the week of Jan 11 at the "Spirit Of Aloha" but they keep saying either:
1. they are converting to a new reservation system, and the can't book that week.
2. There is no show at all that week...but they can't tell me why.

Does anyone know what's going on that week with the dinner show?
I'll be really if the show is canceled that week.

The Spirit of Aloha will be closed the week of Jan. 13-19, 2009 and the show is never shown on Sundays & Mondays, which would be the 11th & 12th...looks like you may not get to see it. (Personally, I don't think it's a great loss, we weren't impressed by it at all last year, but others must like it).

What kind of camera do you have? You got some great nighttime shots of the parade...not easy to do with most cameras!

I haven't been on the Dis in about 2 days, "what did I miss, what did I miss???"

I'll be there in less than 72 hours!!!!
I do plan on doing a mini-live report while there. I just can't wait to get to the Poly! It will be my first time staying there! Just hoping for a magical week!

Since the pool renovations at the Contemporary are to start in Janurary 2009, I will ask about them when I stay there this December. So hopefully I will be able to find out why they are not going to the Wilderness Lodge pool like they have in the past, assuming it's true that they can swim at the Polynesian.

We do the first part of our journey to london today, overnight then a 9hr flight over tomorrow morning, so will be there saturday afternoon, for 3 whole glorious weeks at the Poly.....
