I hope you get the chance to meet Conc on your next trip! :) I can honestly say that seeing him upon our arrival in front of the Hawaii building on our May trip is a memory that always brings a smile to my face, and was such a wonderful start to our vacation. :goodvibes (Conc, did my reaction scare you that day or what?? :lmao: )

Funny enough, a recreation CM came by later to make sure no one had been injured. They heard the scream out by the pool :rotfl:

I've been chatting with GrumpyPirate quite a bit on this trip (he frequents the CB).

BCV, I'm sure you have seen me, although I've been trying to figure out who you are too :lmao:

CMESQ61 -- do you have any kids? Team Disney & I both have boys, and we were talking about being at the pool in the evenings. My kids are always looking for other kids to play/swim with. We will be checking in on the 27th. I think I have a pool night/watch Wishes from beach on Sun. the 28th. I'll have my LGMH somewhere on me. Say Hi if you see us!

OMG. We are planning afternoons for rest/pool time, although the kids are intrigued with the idea of swimming while watching fioreworks. We have all of Sunday as a "free" day. We are me, DBF, DD 14, DS 15. Breakfast at Kona Cafe and then I'm hoping to at least all start out at the pool for a bit of down time, lunch at the Rose & Crown, then I suspect the kids will be off somewhere at least till dinner. Since the weather channel says it may not be a great pool day. I may use the afternoon to do some shopping in Epcot. We have a 7PM ADR at the Wave so we may be back for Wishes. I'll keep my eye out! This will sound stupid but what is "LGMH"? We are hard to miss--me in my ECV (on the beach it's a cane) and short, my short daughter, short boyfriend and then my very tall son towering over us all!

LGMH= Lime Green Mickey Head

I assume you all noticed the new theme next year is about what you'll be celebrating. And they will give you free admission on your bday, therefore encouraging people to be there ON their actual bday. Do you think that they'll stop giving out the pins to people who aren't celebrating a bday exactly while they are there?? And I wonder if they'll do the same with Anniversary....only allow you to "celebrate" if you are there while it happens to fall on that day. Anyone know??

Picabo, the fans in the bathrooms have worked quite well in the renovated rooms we've had (all rooms are renovated). They appear to be motion operated. Before the renovation, the mirrors would steam up but odors were never a problem. Steam was BuckeyeGal's issue wasn't it? I think the fan in her room was broken.

We've stayed at the Polynesian several times when it was at full occupancy according to the front desk (I would go by them not the online availalability BTW). The resort was fine.:goodvibes Parks were another thing.:crowded:

Thanks for the info! I feel MUCH better now! hehe

I doubt that they would that. The way I see it WDW is making it an incentive to try and visit on your birthday, however I am sure they also realize not everyone will still be able to visit WDW on their actual birthday.

We will be staying at Poly in October, and I've asked this question before but got no answers. We have a garden view room. Is this a decent type of room? I'm not expecting a room, like you would get overlooking magic kingdom or the pool, but are these rooms on a relatively quiet side? One of my biggest peeves are rooms overlooking parking lots.

Any input is appreciated.

Gardenview rooms could possibly look out over a parking lot. However, even those views at the Poly are beautifully landscaped. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Elin, I hope you and Bob have a wonderful anniversary trip!!!

We are staying in a GV for our first family stay in january. From what I've researched you may get anything from a half view of the castle and trees to monorail or parking lot. We arent too worried. I have heard the rooms by pools are noisy though. Good luck!:wizard:
