We will be there at the same time. Our 20th is June 30th!!! We were going to go June 27 through July 4 but the 4/3 deal changed our mind. Maybe we will see each other there!!!

Oh boy, I'm so excited that we'll know someone else there! Our 20th is June 3rd. We were married in Jamacia. My DH asked if I wanted to go back there for a second honeymoon. IS HE CRAZY?? I'd rather go to WDW!!!! This will be our 8th trip but our first stay at the Poly. I'm soooooooo excited!

ok, we've decided that we need to bring our own ground coffee and filters so that we can have a good cup of coffee in our room before we leave in the morning. Can anyone tell me what size/ kind of filters we need to bring? I assume it's not the standard size...are they cone or regular filters? Anything else???? Thanks!

Good idea! I bet it's the little tiny ones...

The tap water is heavily treated and may affect as much as anything the taste of your brewed coffee. I'd recommend bringing along either a portable filter or bottled water.

The tap water also has a slight sulfur taste to it (it's a Florida water thing). Definitely agree about the filter idea.

We noticed the sulfer taste in Sept. ..we only used the tap water to rinse our mouth after we brushed our teeth...otherwise it was bottled water all the way

I have to disagree it is NOT a Florida thing it is a Disney thing. I live in South Florida and our water does not taste or smell like Disney water. The Disney water is really bad but believe it or not it has improved over the years. We bring water with us Dasani only.

That's interesting because in North Florida where my relatives live, the sulfur taste is even more pronounced than it is at Disney. And after living in Orlando for six years, I'd grown accustomed to the taste of Disney's tap water. But hey, everyone has different taste buds.

So when in doubt, bottled water is the way to go.

I get accustomed to it right away too. It does taste very different that ours but I really don't notice it after the first sip.

After reading the post on the board I am even more exicted about our stay. We will be going 5/30/09-6/6/09. This will be our first time staying at the Poly.

I was going through some of my old WDW guidebooks and came across my 2003 PassPorter. I was flipping through it and took a look at the info for the Poly. The room rates from '03 were particularly interesting!

The concierge rooms seem to increase at a much higher rate/ratio than the standard rooms. For example, a garden view in Value season was $299; in '08 it's $340. So not much of an increase over 5 years. However, a GVC room that was $390 in '03 is now $480!

Holiday season shows an even bigger jump. A lagoon view during the holidays was $560. Now it's $650 or $670 depending on weekday or weekend nights. An LVC was $675 and is now $840 or $860. That's almost $200 more per night on the weekends!!

Just to make sure I understand--- the cheapest room category is: garden view? yes?
OR is there the traditional standard view:aka parking lot view.
I think I am going to be able to swing 5nights there in June (doing 4/3 deal for BC and due to dates we get out of school I can't do 2 4/3 packages...hoping for an AP or something?)

The cheapest room category is the Garden View and after that it get more expensive, so there is nothing like a traditional standard view that you mentioned.

Ive looked at pictures of Ohana and just saw big tables. Do they have seating for two people or will we seated with other people?
