Right now, log off and hit the parks!!!!!!

We were in the MK on Tuesday, the day Fay was supposed to hit. There was NO ONE there-- maybe 200 people in the park, total. My kids walked onto rides all day long-- it was great!!!! If it's really rainy, get a real raincoat and stick to rides where most of the wait is indoors-- Pirates of the Carribean, Small World, Peter Pan type of stuff. Or get to Epcot, where lots of the rides have indoor lines. But hit the parks; you'll be so glad you did!!!!

I wish we could do that - I have a whiny DH who has been watching all the "tropical storm conditions" this week. We did get to do MK and Epcot earlier in the week but he won't go out in the wind today or yesterday. He's not a big WDW fan anyway so he can't handle the weather. We did DQ one day, wait times there were ridiculous - we found where everyone went in the rain.

OK maybe someone there NOW can help with this...or anyone who's been to KONA recently....is the Tuna Oscar at Kona Cafe sear (raw) tuna or is it fully cooked? I'm trying to find a place for DH to get his fix of seared tuna (his FAVE!!!) and Living Seas USED to have it but now it seems it's off the menu. So how about KONA's Tuna Oscar?

It's seared although I'm sure it could be cooked more thoroughly for those who don't like it rare/medium rare.

Thanks for all you input and suggestions, went and upgraded to GV CL
Just when I thought the anticipation couldn't get any worse, I can't wait!!!
Think we made the right choice for sure, with all the extra perks you get CL and my kids never stop eating. 3 boys can't imagine what it'll be like when they're teenagers.
Down to the single digits today !!!!!!

Are you doing DDP as well? Are you planning to pay OOP for character meals?? I am trying to book for next fall and am torn.

I did the DDP and majority of those are character meals. From the website looks as though some of those can get quite pricey so we thought it would be worth it.
Being as this is our first time we may get back and feel differently. I will surely update when we do return.

THANK YOU! That makes me happy. Not only convenient for us but since DH doesn't really care much about what he eats...I think he'll enjoy the fact that I chose a few restaurants where he can get his FAVORITE things. After all, he will be putting up wtih princess, pooh and mickey meals quite a bit. haha

It amazes me how he remembers all the guests. As my teen DD says, the trip isn't complete until you've chatted and catch up with him.

I agree, the whole staff goes out of their way to make you feel like you're at home.

Same here. Next Polynesian stay we're doing gardenview but I'm looking forward to it so much. Celebrating our 30th while we're there that time.
