The *NEW* Polynesian Resort FAQ thread - *2008*

OK, now that my quickie trip to Pop is over, I can start concentrating on my trip to the Poly in 3 months! :cool1: (And let me add, once you've stayed at the Poly, it is VERY hard to go back ;) ).

We have an early ADR at the Princess Storybook breakfast for our upcoming trip. It is at 8:35am. Of course we would like to take the monorail to Epcot. Last year, we stayed in Tahiti (which I am requesting again) and used the TTC for all of our monorail access.

So, my first question is, is the monorail going to be running early enough? Second question - will we need our resort ID's to get on the monorail that early? And third - what time do you recommend getting on the monorail to get to Epcot in time for our breakfast? In all of our trips, this is the first time we are doing an ADR before official park opening, so this part is all new to me.

Thanks in advance for your help!!! :)

The Monorail should be running early enough, no you don't need to show your KTTW cards and with an 8:35 AM ADR, I would say be there before 7:30 AM. The ride to Epcot takes the longest and it will be the longest wait you have for the Monorail, if it's not there when you arrive at the TTC.

In the same ballpark as the previous question: We have 8:10am ADRs at CRT. What time/mode of transportation will get us there on time (or earlier). They said we'd be able to get into the park by 7:30am. I'd love to have that extra time in a near empty park!!

If you take the Monorail you will just have to stop at the Grand Floridian before arriving at the Magic Kingdom, although if you take the boat after leaving the Polynesian it's a direct ride to the Magic Kingdom. So both of them have their major pluses. As for when you would enter the Magic Kingdom I know that if you have an ADR before the park opens at 9:00 AM, you would allowed to go in early threw the gates that are for guests with ADR's. Now if your ADR is on a morning when they are having AM EMH it would open at 8:00 AM, so I am not sure if they would take you to CRT a bit earlier.

We will be leaving Cleveland on our way to the Polynesian in around 23more hours. Thank you all for the info you have posted as I feel a little more comfortable I will know the "insider" things to look for at the resort.

Have a great time!! Another Clevelander who loves the Poly here!! Can't wait for NEXT May when we return!

I got to meet Cara Loves the Poly today, it was almost like meeting a celebrity!!

I also ran into Tiki Man on Thursday, and I saw Seaspray today as well. So many Poly fans around!!

FUN!! We'll definitely have a little sign on our door in HOPEFULLY Samoa. If anyone's around, leave us a note. You'll probably hear my two little angels before you see us! Haha!!
