We just switched from the POR to the Poly. We are a family of 6 going Nov. 20th - 27th. I have a few questions:
* Does Captain Cooks serve a hot breakfast? Mickey waffles, eggs, etc... ? And how is the food there?
* How is the crowd at the TTC on any given day? My parents are using ECV's and we don't want to keep many people waiting.
* How is the crowd at the Poly bus stop? I do know this bus may make several stops, so we'll probably go to the TTC.
Thanks!

Sorry to come across like an idiot but what is the TTC ? I know you go there to get the monorail to Epcot. But there are no buses there what so ever?
Sorry to be asking a stupid question![]()
Hello All!!!
I wanted the POLY, OF COURSE!! So, here I am, and now I need a few questions answered by all of you fellow Poly folks:
1. Can I buy Silk vanilla soymilk in the snack shop at the POLY? It's the only milk that DS1 drinks. I'm not sure...but call directly down to the Poly and Ibet they can transfer you to the store so you can find out...otherwise just pack and bring from home.
2. How big are the refillable mugs? Do they fit in a stroller cup holder, you know like a 20 oz plastic Coke bottle or are they the real "fat ones"? They all the skinny ones and probably would fit in your stroller cup holder
3. I did see pics of the cribs that are available at the POLY. We lasted stayed at the CBR, and it was a pack-n-play type, but at the Poly it looks like a real metal crib? Is it a full size or portable crib size? Do we needs sheets and bumpers, or do they have those too? They offer both the metal crib and the pack-n-play version. We used the metal crib (I posted pic's of my DD 18 mo in one a few posts back). I thought it was nice, one of the best I've ever used at a hotel. It's not full-size as in comparrison to your crib at home, but still plenty big. They supply the fitted crib sheet. Now if you need bumper bads I don't know, ones from home probably be to big and I brought 2 lightweight blankets from home for her as well.
4. How many hours before your flight does DME pick you up? It's about 3 hrs before and don't be late...DH and 2 of my kids were on it, while me and my other 2 were changing in the bathroom...we had to make a mad dash to get on
5. Can you buy Gain laundry detergent for the on-site laundry? I do not know if they sell Gain, I brought my own from home, but I know what they do sell in the laundry room is $2 a pop plus $2 a load per washer and dryer...bring your own detergent from home I suggest and a roll of quarters
6. Do they offer laundry services? Yes, but I think they charge per item, not per load...there is a bag and card in your room closet
Thanks to you all!!! Please forgive if the questions have been asked on previous pages. It's real hard to retain all that information when you are new to the thread.
I am so glad that so many of you are going before me, so I can read all of your posts and reviews.

* Does Captain Cooks serve a hot breakfast? Mickey waffles, eggs, etc... ? And how is the food there? Yes they serve till 10:30 am breakfast, plus there is always juice, fruit, and muffins danishes available
* How is the crowd at the TTC on any given day? My parents are using ECV's and we don't want to keep many people waiting. I found it to be fine everytime we went, not really crowded at all...most people were walking thru to get to MK
* How is the crowd at the Poly bus stop? I do know this bus may make several stops, so we'll probably go to the TTC. We used the POly bus stop once to go to DTD and luck have it we didn't have a long wait, but returning was LONG!!!!
Thanks!

You can walk there in less than 10 minutes...it's a nice walk too. to not only catch the Epcot monorail, but direct buses to DHS and AK, we hardely waited long for anything and it wasn't super crowded either. and by returning to the TTC, you only have 1 stop on your return and then just walk back to your room. Very convienent and easy, I really liked doing it this way.
The buses to the parks are past the monorail ramps, stay to the right of the ticket counters and just keep walking straight ahead...
To go to DTD you'll have to use the POly b/s and then to get to other non monorail resorts take a bus to there or one other park then hop a bus to that resort.Sorry to be asking a stupid question![]()
We stayed at POR last year so we just hopped on of the many buses they had.
It's nice to know the food is good @ Captain Cook's.![]()
hope that helps you all...

I'm so excited to be staying at the Poly in Nov. My parents have never been to Disney. I don't think they know what to expect.
We will be packing for a week for 4 people in three suitcases..

Yes! Silk soy milk is available at Samoa Snacks, also at Captain Cooks and, if you're a coffee addict like I am, is also available at Kona Island. My DD and I are lactose intolerant so while we do bring a few containers of the stuff with us, it was great knowing it was available at the resort.![]()
I know it's been asked, but what kind and how much for the shampoo and conditioner, lotion and soap do you get. DD16 is very worried about this, I think she could use a bottle of the conditioner every day. Do they replenish your supplies daily, if you use it all.
Thanks...
Oh and how much do you tip mousekeeping each day?
The toiletries are H2O+, and ours were replenished daily. We had four women (well, three women and one 5 y/o), so we definitely went through that. Mousekeeping must have noticed all the girly things in the room and left three full sets of toiletries each day. I brought my own, so we ended coming home with, oh, 10 sets of the stuff!!I just ran out of shampoo, so I might start using that.
Also, we tipped a dollar per person. There were four grown-ups and two little guys. If we didn't have an extra $1 bill, we'd tip with a $5, but never saw a downgrade in service because of that.
