Busses to all Disney resorts depart from each theme park and Downtown Disney, so you'll be able to pick up a bus directly from Animal Kingdom. From CSR, your closest park transfer is Animal Kingdom, although you could just as well take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and transfer via monorail from that point.

No resort busses route through TTC any longer. The TTC busses are for use between between the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios/Disney's Animal Kingdom (monorail connects to MK).

What a perfectly succinct description of the bus situation. Great job!:thumbsup2

I was wondering, If you are staying GV at the Poly can you order room service? I would love to have that famous Kona Coffee waiting for me in the morning. Thanks!

Oh, we love room service at the Polynesian. Tonga toast is one of the options.:goodvibes However, I don't think Kona Coffee is on the menu or at least it wasn't last I noticed.

Anyone heard the rumor about closing the Poly coffee bar and replacing it with a sushi bar? :confused3

I just read this on the podcast discussion page...

The coffee bar is still open in the AM, and it changes over to the sushi in the evening. The sushi is reeeaaalllyy good, although a tad pricey (but what isn't at WDW? :rotfl2: ).

Don't worry! They are not replacing coffee with sushi ;)

Whew! What a relief. No better way to start a day at WDW than with a cup of coffee from the coffee bar. Thanks for clearing this up for us.

Not only can you order regular room service, but you can pre-order your breakfast the night before and have it delivered at a certain time. There are cards in the room you can fill out and leave outside your door (on the door handle) and they come around at night and collect the orders.

I can't promise the Kona coffee was on there when we ordered last November, but I'm almost certain it was....

All this talk about the wonderful coffee in the Kona Cafe (we are excited to have ressies for breakfast there one morning on our vacation) has me wondering if it is available for purchase to take home in whole bean form in one of the gift shops?

Yep. I think it's around $35 for a pound of 100% Kona Coffee. Not cheap but worth it. :thumbsup2

In the immortal words of Annie, "I think I'm gonna like it here!" :dance3:

Thanks for the info..that's expensive...it sounds really good, though I'll probably buy it to take home..I'm sure my DH will understand..I'm a real coffee nut.:)

I would love  to stay at the Polynesian next summer when we are at WDW! I have a family of 5 (childrens ages will be 21, 18, and 14 at time of travel). I'm afraid we'd be too cramped in one room. Does the Polynesian have connecting rooms? Or are the suites offered with AAA discounts? Any ideas on what our best options are? In the past we've stayed at Fort Wilderness cabins or All Star Music family suites just to accomodate our family size and ages. We want to be comfortable but don't want to pay through the nose for that comfort either! ;) I'd appreciate any input on how we can work the rooms to fit us.

There are connecting rooms and we've done that when we've had six in our party. But our family of five was fine in a 1 BR as our kids hit those ages. We stayed many, many times in one Polynesian room with 5. The rooms are quite spacious.

The sink or sinks are inside the bathroom though so if you have three daughters you might need to think through logistics with mirrors and sinks.:goodvibes There is a mirror above the desk too.

My ddad65 just adores Kona coffee and I got some for him at Christmas time for $35. It is that much if you order it online, so I felt like I got a reasonable price. The blend that they have at Target is $25 or so. But I hear that the blend is just so so.

I am not a big breakfast person but MUST have my coffee...I prefer iced in the summer and wondered if the Poly offers iced kona coffee? I know I know, it's not D&D or Starbucks, I was just curious:) It's our first stay at the Poly and I am not fond of the in room coffee makers...I always wonder if they are ever cleaned and they seem dusty and just gross. That's just me, oh did I mention I am a bit OCD and germ phobic :rotfl2: We're on the DDP so is coffee considered a snack?

I also don't remember seeing it on the private dining menu, or the menu that you pre-order your breakfast on and hang it on your door the night before.

Do you happen to know if the Tonga Toast is on that menu? :confused3
We've never had room service before, but it's me and DH on this next trip and I was thinking of getting this time, it seems so fancy :lovestruc

Tonga Toast is on the room service menu.:cool1:

Ordering room service on our last morning was a tradition for us a few years back. We still usually do it at least once per trip. Mickey pancakes are on the menu too.:thumbsup2

We love room service at the Polynesian for any meal. Everything we've ever ordered has been quite good and service is fast and friendly.

As BCV said, Tonga Toast is indeed on the Private Dining menu! :)

Here's the exact listing from the menu:

Tonga Toast
