Erika-I bet you'll get a present anyway! Also, I love your picture!

Anyone know what the difference is between a "woods" "lodge" and "courtyard" view? I read it on the WDW site, but didn't find "woods" listed, but that's what I've booked. I am confused!

Just a reminder for everyone headed out.

OK it's official DIS Meet @ The Wilderness Lodge

We became aware that because so many of us love visiting WDW and The Wilderness Lodge, that we had quite a few DIS members that would be converging at WDW over the last few weeks in May.
Soooo... we are going to meet-up at the Lodge and visit for a few hours or minutes which ever you would like.

Date: Saturday, May 22, 2004
Time: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Place: Humphrey's Totem
( corner of the lodge by the mercantile, elevators, and the bridge in the lobby)

This will be very informal so don't worry if your at one of the Parks, relaxing by the pool, Training for the 1/2 Ironman, or just having fun, (added for our wonderful CM freinds) working, jump on The boat/bus to Wilderness Lodge and say hello.

OK, I think I finally got through all the posts on this thread! What great information! I couldn't find an answer to this question and I hope someone would know! I've heard that some of the balconies at WL are "enclosed." We are likely to spend some time on our balcony, will this really obstruct our view if we are sitting down and relaxing. Are these enclosed balconies only on certain floors? Thanks for any information that you can give me! :earsgirl:

If I'm not mistaken, these enclosed balconies are only on the 6th floor, and you really cannot see anything unless you stand up and look out. We had one on our last trip, but I immediately changed rooms because I didn't care for that. I wanted to be able to sit and see the sights. Lodgers, correct me if I'm wrong about that floor please.

Okay fellow Lodgers, I'm sure that some of you have stayed in one of the Lodge's Junior Suites, and I'm sure that somewhere over the past years, I've read about it, but my memory is not what it used to be! So, if any of you can clue me in as to the value of these suites, how much extra room, was it worth it, etc, etc, I'd really appreciate it. Any info you can give me would be great! Thanks!

babybunrab--Thanks! Looks like MAGICinMYHEART came to your rescue with your inquery--she's SOOO good at that :D !

BTW...
<marquee>WELCOME TO THE DIS,babybunrab!</marquee>

TooBoyz4us-- Chris, Thanks--this does help ;). I hope mine comes that quickly for me :p I'll check my P.O. Box first thing in the morning! I'll let all of you know when it comes in :hyper:!

I wish I could be at that DIS meet at the WL on the 22nd :sad1:! I would LOVE to meet some of y'all :grouphug:. Maybe. . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . .One could be scheduled the last week in October if enough DISers will be there. Last year when I went in October, I didn't meet any DISers, and I wore that bright LIME GREEN DIS FANNY PACK T-H-E~~~~W-H-O-L-E~~~~ T-I-M-E :p. I hope I will be luckier this time around since I know a lot more about this place ;)!

:wave2:

Tig-girl,

The deluxe Jr. Suite sleeps six and the two room are nice sized, I use to stay in them before the Villas where built so it has been a few years. We loved the extra room and it was less then paying for two rooms the Suites on the end of the South Wing have the best View for the EWP. If you don't need to sleep six and only want larger accommodations The One Bed-Room Villa is a better deal.
Room Type Value Regular Peak Holiday
Deluxe........ $390 $435 $495 $540

The 1 Bedroom Villa has a full kitchen, washer & dryer, King Size bed in the Master Bedroom and a Queen size pull-out sofa in the living room.
Room Type Value Regular Peak Holiday
1 BR Villa.... $380 $425 $515 $560

Oh, and you where correct the sixth floor has the dormer style balconies and you have to stand up to look out over the rail. Same for some if not all of the balconies on the seventh floor.

wmarsich,

Hi, if you'll go back to page 55 all most at the bottem of the page there will be a post by our very own WL Vet, Majestic in his signature under his family photo there is a web site location all you have to do is click on the one that says...
Click here to see the Wilderness Lodge FAQ Photo Gallery!!
It will take you to many photo's all of us have taken and sent in to him. There are photo's with views from different rooms...and of the Wilderness Lodge have fun....

Thanks Magic! I appreciate the input! I hope that I can get a good deal or code for a junior suite in NOvember. I'll be watching like a hawk! If anyone hears of a good deal, please let me know! Thanks and have a great day everyone.
Any news on Roy?

Well I'm off, going to see Mickey and have a talk with Humphrey for Roy.

Be good and I will be back May 29th

...not ALL 6th floor balconies are closed (court view are NOT!), but the 7th floor ones definitely are!

I just booked my 1st stay at WL. I am so excited. We will be checking in 6/25 and out 7/2. :Pinkbounc It looks gorgeous. Its just my husband and I going. We have a 5 month old that has already been once, so we decided:guilty: to leave him home with his grandmom. Its going to be hard, but I am looking foward to it.
