That is about what they look like!! They are little monkeys that run across the back of the tush...she is very cute in it! When I get the Typhoon pictures developed ( from the waterproof camera, I will post )

aesalsa - Click on my WL Photo link below..it has room 4067 that is 2 queens, opens to lobby behind fireplace overlooks creek!
WL Room #4067

aesalsa,

What are "The Bear Face Rooms?" What is the Bear Face? This sounds really neat ::yes::

I'll try and show you, in the photo below .(use your imagination)
At the top of the main section of the lodge start where the Flag is and move down, the two dormer windows are The Bears eyes, then the next gable his nose, then mouth. Do you see him? We call the rooms in this area The Bear Face Rooms

Congrats! To this day I still love to see the excitement from someone who has never stayed on site and has never stayed at the lodge. Firsts are important. I wish you and hubby all the magic in the world for a great trip to Disney and WL.

::yes::

Wow, everyone was faster then me,

Too funny, I went through your photos to see if there was a photo of your DD in her suit. The post was up when I picked my neice up from school yesterday and she said "Cool monkeys" she then read the thread and said thats the bathing suit I tried on. It was too small, her tush was to big.

Can't wait to see the photo's.

No Problem..glad to help a newbie!!

Did you call and add your upgrade request to your reservation, I have said the "Bear's Face" to the CRO, and they act like I just asked for a round trip flight to the moon...but tell them that the WL CMs will know what it means. 866-939-3732 - CRO

I just wanted to add my thanks. I've been lurking on this board for the last few weeks. I have learned so much.

Before I found this board I was excited about my trip to Disney. I love a Disney vacation and this will be the first time that I experience it through the eyes of my babies -DS 3 1/2 and DD 13mos (currently). I knew that we would be happy with the Wilderness Lodge - a Disney themed hotel close to all the MK has to offer.

After reading your posts I am not only excited about our vacation I am enthusiastic about our choice of resorts! You all have really shared the MAGIC. It is evident in the way you talk about the Lodge and the way you talk (and care) about each other. It is my pleasure to be able to "know" you. I am looking forward to learning more about WL and all of you in the months ahead. I'm sure I will have a lot of questions. I only hope that I am able to return some magic that you have shown to me.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Three Cheers for The Wonderful WL Vets

I hope you have a truly magical vacation with your family. I also love this thread--isn't everybody so sweet and helpful :) ?

Now I have to get a counter!

Just a "stupid" question : if I buy the WL souvenir mug , can I go and get my sodas FREE as many times as I wish ....:drinking1

or do I need to ask a CM each time ?
I mean, is there a soda fountain where a guest can always help himself ?

Thanks !

I like to dream even the details of my days with Humphrey !!!

Yes..there is a beverage bar in Roaring Forks that you just walk up to and fill your cup with soda, coffee, tea, hot chocolate...it is very nice not to have to stand in line in the AM when I can't even STAND!!

I also pop in there before getting on the boat to MK..I have a pocket in my stroller ( which I will not part with till Kate is 18!! ) that I stick the cup in when I finish. And stop again on my way back to the room for a coke!

Hello to you all on this thread. I have a question about the meet that is to occur on Saturday May 22. I am ssooo new to this board and yet feel like I want to come and meet some of you vets. Is it open to any one or should we be a WL or DIS vet?

We are arriving on Thursday May 20th for our first trip to WL I have learned so much from all of you and want to say thanks. We have been AP holders and guest at Disney several times, yet this trip is very exciting to us and I think it is because of the WL experience.

First,
WELCOME to the DIS
Please come, yes ::yes:: Everyone is invited to join in. I would love to meet you, as would the others that will be there, most are already either on their way or there now....I have to wait until next Friday.

I pulled this information off the Disney web site, as when I checked the list for Teton Boat & Bike Rential it only had Mini power boats, canopy boats, and Sun Tracker pontoon Boats may be rented. If you check they may have the sailboats over at Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre, located at Disney's Contemporary Resort Marina. Very quick boat ride from Wilderness Lodge or even Ft. Wilderness Campground. Or request they have one available for you there.

Marina Rentals
Captain your own vessel. Choose from a fleet of motorized and non-motorized craft that are available for rent. Sea Raycer by Sea Ray® boats, sailboats, SunTRACKER pontoon boats, canopy boats, pedal boats, row boats, kayaks and canoes are some of the items available at various Walt Disney World® Resort hotels.
:boat:

Hope this helps.

Thanks! We are having lunch over at the Grand Floridian, so maybe we will just check over there or the Contempory for sailboats.

Hello everyone! Just got back from WL yesterday, had a great time and the weather was wonderful. I had a great woodsview room #5032. We watched the pond critters in the morning and at night could view Wishes from our balcony. My son was so thrilled to see the castle and the monorail from his room! Also we did use the villas pool-much more quiet and we always found chairs. Thanks for all the great info. we sure did put it to use.pirate:

W21981Brick,

Welcome back, I'm so glad you had a great trip and that Wilderness Lodge was just as you remembered it. Your room view sounds Magical how many little boys (or adults) get to look out their window and see the Castle anytime they want. How about your son and DH did they get their special time out on Bay Lake with the Water Mice. :boat:
