The VWL healt club-Sturdy Branches-is amazing!

My DH has had several massages there and will certainly spend some time there this May. They have a nice selection of equipment and a very pretty setting to look at while you work out.

Of the massages he has had there, at Vero Beach and here at home-he said the first one he had at VWL was the best.

You can always go over and take a look around. I'm not sure what the charge is. I think we get free use of the fitness center when we are staying on DVC points.

The only thing missing is a full service spa.

Is there a particular service you are interested in?

thanks, floridafam! :wave2:
I'm interested in Body wrap aromatherapy with massage.
Had two had the AKL and I'm hooked!
YC/BC didn't have the bodywraps, but the aromatherapy massage.
Still feels good!:teeth:

Thanks for bumping this up, campinggal!
I was trying to find this thread, too, and couldn't locate it!

BT,

Congrats on gettin the Grand One on Father's Day. Are you going to take the cruise during the day or at night?

We may have to return to Michigan earlier than planned in May but I am thinking about trying the Grand One during the day if we have to cancel the evening cruise. Our vacation is constantly changing.

Made our reservations for AKL Concierge today. Anyone else going to be there in October?

Wow! AKL Concierge! You'll love it, floridafam!

As far as I understand, Ida booked it for two hours for the Wishes FW.

And I completely understand the vacation changing thing, too!

hugs to you!

Good Morning All!

Cool pic!! I can't wait to go during Christmas- I'm trying to pull together an early December trip to the WL.

BambiTamby and Floridafam- you've got some great activities planned- even if they might be constantly changing! I'm taking notes for my next trip!

No, it's old, and honestly I actually need to remove it...because it isn't going to happen....but the thought depresses me so I haven't done it yet:(

According to your countdown, you are going the exact date we are to WL, Do you have young children? Will they be going to the Cub's Den? I have a 6 yr old DD and a 4 yr old DS. How ong are you staying? What do you think our chances would be of upgrading to CL? This will be our 1st time to stay at WL.

I will be there April 30th about 11am...we are checking out on May 3rd but will be there till that afternoon.

I have a DD (6) and a DSS (11) I don't think we will send Kate to the Cub's Den since we also have the 11yo, but maybe we can hook up at the pool..Kate would love a playmate.

I have a DIS laynard, so I should be easy to spot...see my pictures below.

We will be arriving at the world on the 15th of May. Any chance you can get down there to hook up? :)

I may be able to get UP there that day for a day trip...I don't see a problem so far..I thought you were going to be there for mother's day

Maybe we can do some "re-con" work...;)

We are thinking about using Fairy Godmothers for our kids this visit. DS is 4 and DD is 14 months -- is there stuff for them to do with a sitter on the resort property or would they be stuck in the (what I hear is a smallish) room the whole night?

Thanks,
Kim

Hi DisneyDmbNut

I was just curious as to why you wouldn't send your 11yo to the Clubs Den?
The age level for the Den is up to 12 right?

Is it geared more towards younger children? Would it bore a 10&12 yr old?
We were thinking of taking our boys there in order to enjoy a nice adult "alone time" dinner. But I don't want to send them if its mainly for younger children.

Thanks!
Chris

We will be staying in a standard room. Is there more room for a crib in a room with bunk beds, or are the bunk bed rooms proportionately smaller than the rooms with two queens?

Thanks,
Kim

Yes, you will have a little more room between the beds as the bunk bed rooms are the same size as the two queen bed rooms but you won't have two queen beds taking up the floor space- just the one queen and then the twin bunks.

There are not specific activities geared for children going on in the Lodge for the night but they certainly could go 'exploring'- check out the stream that starts in the lobby, visit the big screen TV that is playing Disney Cartoons that is also in the lobby, go to the playground or even get an ice cream at Roaring Forks.

I would assume that since your kids are on the young side, that their bed time would be on the early side- especially after a busy day so I think it would be easy to entertain a 4 year old and a 14 month old for a few hours before bed.

I've never used the 'Fairy Godmothers' as DD is 7 now and old enough for the Kid Clubs. You could probably post a thread just to see what others experience has been with them.

Have fun!
