Thanks AspiringCindy.
Thank you for your advise, too to let me decide staying at WL!

TooBoyz4us
We are NE of ATL and about 45min from downtown.

I need advice from anyone who has had bunk beds with children. I have a 9 and 7 year old that want to reserve a room with bunk beds. The problem is my then 2 1/2 year old! I know monkeyboy will be climbing, and climbing and climbing. Are the bunk beds more trouble than they are worth?

I am strongly considering just requesting queens. We will have 2 connecting rooms. I don't know if I want to worry about monkeyboy for 9 days!

Lori

Lori, the bunks may be a problem then! We had bunks for our DDs age 8 & 9, but our other was only 14 months old...so climbing was not a factor! Now at terrible twos, I wouldn't reserve bunks for us!;)

...a BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY to AspiringCindy!!!

Wish our 3 cheerleading squads "good luck" as they head to Williamsburg, Va. to the E.C.A. Nationals.....:wave2:

I am missing Roy so I though I would add some MAGIC to the New WL FAQ thread.

How hard is it to get back to the WL after the fireworks? Since we would be taking the boat back from MK, will it be easy to bypass the bus and monorail crowds?

What about from Epcot after Illuminations? What is the easiest way back?

Notice please that I didn't ask for the fastest way as I am already anticipating - that is to say dreading - the mad rush.

We will be in WDW May 15-22.

Any suggests are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Diana

Hello,

My family and I are going early May, What do you think the chances are of us getting upgraded? Also I've read all of the WL threads at this Disney Forum and alot of others. Is there anything special I should know or look for, I already want to ask for Flag Family! Is early May a good time for WL and or Disney in general. I went the end of May last year Memorial week, and it was fine. I just thought it would be even better because kids weren't out of school yet, and crowds would be less. Is this true? Also, Do they just offer free upgrades or do you request them? Do they ever upgrade anyone to concierge level for free?

TIA Peylog

First time at WL and I'm sure many more to come!

May is a fine time to go to the Lodge. I have never heard of anyone getting upgraded to conscierge for free but have been upgraded several times to other levels. This resort is most accomodating to their guests. You will be happy there.:sunny:

dlstc,

After wishes you will be able to see how backed up the boat back over to WL will be, if you decide to wait it may take up to 30-45 minutes if you don't get on the first boat...you have two alternative routes you can jump on the large ferry and ride to TTC then catch the WL bus and be back at the lodge, or you could walk to CR Monorail station then ride the Monorail back to TTC avoiding all the larger groups at MK Monorail Station leaving, then also catch the WL lodge bus at TTC. The buses come very often over at TTC and it's only a few minutes ride...

After Illuminations it may also be easier to ride the Monorail back to TTC then jump on the bus to WL or just take the regular bus back...Hope these alternative routes help you.

Peylog,
Hi, and you are going to love WL, as Lou-Ann said May is a great time to visist WDW and the first two weeks are wonderful, with beautiful weather and lower crowds then the end of the month. Also the WL may not be at capacity, so upgrades are a possibility, but not Concierge for free, but they may offer it to you at a reduced rate. If an upgrade is avaliable they usually just give it to you. Be sure to ask about being Flag Family when you check-in.

Have a great trip.

Thank you,

Its just so nice to get a reply, It just makes me even more excited if that is at all possible about our trip. Thank you it was music to my ears! Peylog :earsgirl:

I have another question , more like I need suggestions. We have our children scheduled for the Neverland Club for a Sunday night starting at 5pm. What should my husband and I do with our free time, there is so much to choose from. I don't really want to do something that I could normally do with the kids. Should we go to the Boardwalk or Pleasure Island and if so where at those locations? I thought maybe a cruise, but we can do that anytime. Anyone have any great suggestions. Also if your child has been to the Neverland Club or Cubs Den, please let me know what you thought or have heard. TIA Peylog ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

How about a visit to the Spa at GF?! Or a nice dinner for 2 at CG!

Our kids have spent time at Cub's Den...and loved it! They ate, played on the computers, played games and watched a movie! We spent our time at Pleasure Island visiting all the venues!

Does anyone have any really good photos of the wilderness lodge inside and out...it would help a lot. thanks
