Well November friends, it's been a pleasure getting to know you all and counting down together!

The laundry is done. The house is clean. The dishwasher is running one last time. All but a few little last minute things are packed.

I am listening to my Aerosmith CD and wondering what song will be playing on my first RNRC ride this trip!!!

The kids will be home in just a little bit and we will try to cram a week's worth of school work into an evening.

It has been one long countdown and I'm so glad it's finally here!!! Hopefully I will come back with lots of cool stories and wonderful pictures to share with you all.
Maybe I'll even get to meet some of you this week!

Angela~ I have that same hanger...I just put it in a suitcase this morning!! I am going thru toiletries and snax today....took dd to the Dr this morning...her strep came back Neg...but she has a soooore throat, so he gave her an antibiotic anyway...I filled it,but I will probably start it tomorrow....it will cover strep or a bacterial infection.....well, better this week than next! I am much better with my sickness...I am just tired still-

We are going to Disney TOMORROW!!



1 DAY!!!!!

US TOO!!!

We won't actually arrive at WDW until Sunday, but as far as I'm concerned the vacation starts as soon as we get on the interstate!

Right now this is us:

Maybe a QOTD: Since so many are heading out soon what are the top three things on your to do list?

1) Finish packing! DD and I are about halfway done, DH only has the few things that I have gathered up for him. Last load of laundry is washing now. Hopefully we can have all of the suitcases in the truck tonight, and just have to load the little stuff in the morning.

DH picked up most of our snacks and travel toiletries a few days ago, but I need to go through them and make sure there's no last minute stuff we need from the store.

2) Computer stuff: Transfer money from savings to checking, pay bills, pay for pre-paid photopass CD. Print my DIS Turkey Head!

3) Prep the house: Clean out the fridge so we don't come home to stinky leftovers, swiffer the floors, move the cat box from the master bathroom room to the front bathroom, make sure food and litter supplies are set out for our neighbor. Bring her our key. Make sure all bedroom doors are closed when we leave in the morning.

Oh, and for the previous question about new stuff!
1) DD's first trip ever! Also our first trip as a family, and DH hasn't been in about 20 years, so his first times at DHS and AK.
2) First MVMCP!
3) First time staying in a mod! My other two on-site visits have been at ASMu and ASMo

1)...for us to all get well!!!
2)...finish getting all toiletries snax bought/packed...working on it now
3)...finishing our schoolwork for this week and next

We homeschool and we scheduled to be finished next Friday for vacation/Thanksgiving. Hallelujah!! The end is in sight!

Looks like we can be added to the November misfortune list. It doesn't greatly effect our trip but my roommate's grandmother passed away today. She had been sick for a while so this was not a surprise but not something we wanted to hear none the less. The funeral is Monday and we leave Wednesday...

My other roommate (and his girlfriend) and I want to do something extra special for him now while in Disney. Anyone have suggestion on what we could do that is last minute, free/little cost (we're on a budget) and is perhaps a little different?

Some info on him/our trip if it helps -
Fav character is Donald (our first breakfast is at the Tusker House for this reason)
He is rather a quiet person
Not big on thrill rides
Will be 28 (birthday is tomorrow so he will have a Birthday pin while there)
We have MVMCP tickets for the 11th
We're at the POP Century

Popping in from POFQ. Brrr . . . cold today! We spent the morning and early afternoon at Epcot and I think we must have chosen the coldest place to be today. Our resort is much warmer than the park was. 60s and windy are the weather for Saturday and Sunday too, then up to the 70s Monday. If you are coming today or tomorrow, bring a jacket and long pants. Might go see Yee Haw Bob tonight at POR instead of trying to go to a park in the cold wind.

ugh snow, maybe it will not get there until you are safely in the air, I will say a little prayer tonight. Snow is my biggest fear when flying in the winter and one of the reasons I picked going early November vs December and one of the reasons I am having second thoughts now about December next year

The year I went to WDW in late January with my freind who lived in Florida on the way home it was snowing when we landed and I think I stopped breathing until the plane was safely landed, I was sure we were going to skid off the runway

Well we leave tomorrow. Been a CRAZY day between a fall festival at work and trying to get a family of six ready for a week long camping trip at Disney!! BUT I think we are gonna make it AND tomorrow we will be at WDW!!!! If I don't have time to get back on before we go, I hope we get to see some of you there!!

QOTD: for this weekend at least is 1)to pull out all the kids clothes and make sure I don't need to buy anything (I got them really nice sweaters for Thanksgiving and Epcot night with Santas and then I went and bought long sleeve t's for under in case it's really chilly). 2)I might do a little xmas decorating (I'm worried about how late it will be when we get back, I love my xmas decorations!). 3)toiletries and car stuff.
I probably won't start packing yet, I want to wait for the weather and I don't want everything to wrinkle.

QOTD: for this weekend at least is 1)to pull out all the kids clothes and make sure I don't need to buy anything (I got them really nice sweaters for Thanksgiving and Epcot night with Santas and then I went and bought long sleeve t's for under in case it's really chilly). 2)I might do a little xmas decorating (I'm worried about how late it will be when we get back, I love my xmas decorations!). 3)toiletries and car stuff.
I probably won't start packing yet, I want to wait for the weather and I don't want everything to wrinkle.

We made it! We left at midnight last night, and drove straight through. We arrived at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista at 5pm. We're exhausted, but are trying to stay awake until 9 - our room has the most amazing view! We can see Epcot AND the Contemporary, and therefore should be able to see both sets of fireworks. Tomorrow we'll do the Benefit Sale at Downtown Disney, and then we're having dinner at House of Blues. Can't wait until Sunday when our "real" vacation starts...checking into AKL!

Angela~ I have that same hanger...I just put it in a suitcase this morning!! I am going thru toiletries and snax today....took dd to the Dr this morning...her strep came back Neg...but she has a soooore throat, so he gave her an antibiotic anyway...I filled it,but I will probably start it tomorrow....it will cover strep or a bacterial infection.....well, better this week than next! I am much better with my sickness...I am just tired still-
Hope all of you who are leaving this weekend/week have an awesome vacation!!!

I took my Belle to the doctor today. She looked at her throat and said it looks like classic strep.. BUT the rapid came back positive. She gave us Amoxicillin anyway and said she wouldn't be surprised if the culture was positive on Monday or Tuesday...very thankful that it is now too!! hoping my little Abby doesn't get it too
