74 hours and 50 minutes from right NOW... we have a reservation at Chef Mickey for dinner on our first night in Disney World! Yay! SOoooo close.. Now if my cold would go away that would be GREAT!

We are at 24 days today! Didn't really have much Disney time today (not even for daydreaming). Work has been crazy and will probably remain so until we leave. That's OK, atleast it makes the time go fast.
I put in the code to try and register my photo pass card and I didn't see mention of any deals, anyone else see anything? I was atleast hoping for a coupon.

23 days for us and started making my to do list. Finally found and bought suitcases on Saturday. Needed 2 more since this is the first time we are all flying together. We have all been there flying but the last family trip the 4 of us went we drove. Needed only 2 cases but found biggers ones for cheaper and us 3 girls would fight who got the biggest so just bought three. Trying not to talk too much about it because we were there in September and I think my co-workers and friends just are plain sick of me by now. Love the boards so that I know there others like me. I work for doctors and this one asks me every day how are the dining reservations going. If he only knew yesteday I was rethinking them all again. DD21 told me to leave them alone. Her and DD16 are working on our matching shirts this week and DH is just not into them. Does anyone else have a DH like that? The DD's have planned some pretty cool ones. DD's also went for alien green mickey heads at Home Depot. Not sure what they are doing with them yet?? DD21 was addicted to the Dis Boards a while ago so has all these ideas for this trip. I'm so looking foward to Disney and family time. No mickey mail yet but I use Dreams Unlimited so I know they mail it so hopefully soon.

Her and DD16 are working on our matching shirts this week and DH is just not into them. Does anyone else have a DH like that?

Logan packs for himself. I MIGHT be able to get him to match with his son(s) in the future, but who knows.

Mine is the 16 year old DD who doesn't like the matching t-shirts, but DH is OK with it. She wears them, but doesn't like them. I don't know for sure which 1 of 2 reasons DH has given her she chooses to wear them, maybe both. He told her first, it means a lot to your mom. When I was a kid I was an only child with no extended family raised by my grandparents. They are great people, they are going to be with us also wearing mathicng Ts, but as a kid I'd go places and dream of being part of a family. Not necessarily siblings, but cousins or something. Anyway, I dreamed of being a part of a family and they whole matching tshirts just makes me happy, like I wish I had been one of those families as a kid. So, I like it, only in Disney of course. Then he told her she'd stick out a lot more NOT matching cause people would wonder where he shirt was. OK, truth is I know that is why she wears them, but as long as she does I'm happy. We have 5 sets of shirts and will do laundry half way though the week so we will match every day!

Wow... it is getting harder to keep up. I've got to get my DD's Viking girl costume ready for Halloween. I haven't even designed it yet, but i have some ideas in my head!

I have to call and see if we can get some of the ADR's that we want. Most of them if not all, are in resorts, not the parks, so hopefully that'll make it easier.

Wow! A girl goes to work for the day and has 5 pages to read to catch up!!

I am starting my official freak-out. I am making the grocery list ('cause the DxDP just isn't enough food- LOL!!), rechecking the clothes I have color coordinated, and thinking about getting everybody new undies so I can just pack everything and be done with it! Just a little on the excited side...

Thank god I started planning early because I'm so busy at work and with Halloween /end of sports this weekend - I HAVE NO TIME TO REALLY SHOP OR DO MUCH RUNNING AROUND. We leave in just over 2 weeks - but we're shipping a box (dry goods, bulk items) cheaper than flying it - and I have to get that ready to go by this weekend!

Also need to do a dry run through the suitcases to see how to get 5 people in 3 suitcases (I think there's a whole thread on packing light!). We're staying in the Treehouse Villas so thankfully we'll have a washer/dryer!

I almost can't wait to just get on the plane so I can say "what is packed is what we're bringing....there's no going back".

Hi gang,

Just a quick pop-in to say hello, it's been a crazy 3 days. DD's birthday party was last Saturday (her birthday is during our Disney week, but we wanted to do the party before the trip yet didn't want to compete w/ Halloween) We reserved a pavilion at one of the local parks and had a blast thanks to perfect weather. It was quite windy at first but since DD had requested a Pooh party we just joked we were getting "The Blustery Day" to go with it!

She had a runny nose that day, but we thought just due to changing weather. Well Sunday she woke up and complained of an ear ache, so we took her to the local walk-in clinic. She wasn't running fever, so they gave her some antibiotic ear drops and told us we could give her some decongestant. (Had actually prescribed some, but it was going to be $80, so they pharmacist said we could use Triaminic instead and gave us a weight-appropriate dose.) Well last night I was congested myself, and this morning it hit me like a ton of bricks. DD was still dripping like crazy, and complaining her ear still hurt, so I kept her home. Good thing b/c later in the day she and I were both running temps around 103F. DH took us both to the walk-in clinic, and we both have strep. So now antibiotics, steroids, and decongestants for both of us, and still the ear drops for her. However, I was happy when we went in and they measured her height at 41 inches! Looks like she may get to ride some of the big rides after all!

Oh, and if that wasn't fun enough, our one flat-screen TV went out yesterday morning, so we had to go to Best Buy and fork out $500 for a new one. So now we have to skip our church retreat this weekend, and can kiss hopes of a video camera for the trip goodbye. I think it's gonna have to be our Christmas to each other as well.

But on the plus side, only 12 days until our trip! Two until we can online check-in! And our Disney Store package came today! 2 tees each for DH and I (Mickey and Donald for him, Minnie and Tink for me), and two tees (Tink and Princesses) and a hooded zip-up sweatshirt (Ariel) for DD. We're going to hold her tees to give her in the room on her birthday, along with an Eeyore plush I found her on ebay. (Did you know the Disney Store has an official outlet on ebay? Got a 12" Eeyore, regularly 16.50, for only about 9 dollars tax and shipping included!)

Hopefully once my meds kick in tomorrow I can get up long enough to upload pictures from her party to share with you all. Then Wednesday I'm going to meet with my neurosurgeon to schedule my fusion surgery, hopefully for right after Thanksgiving.

That is a great idea! I just want to be packed so that when it is time, we can just get in the car and drive and drive and drive...

BTW looks like we will be there at the same time. Will you have a green Mickey turkey hanging anywhere?

Today I'm taking DS16 for his drivers license test... I think I'm more nervous than he is, 'cause I'm scared that he WILL pass! I'm just not ready for this! He's already talking about driving to church tonight for band practice (he plays drums for the HS worship team)

Cajunmomof3- I am going to print my turkey and get it lamanited at Staples. I will hang it on my stroller (silver and turquoise peg prego) and on my book bag that is white with blue and green polka dots!
14th arrival day. Only plans so far is trails end buffet and chip and dale campfire if we are up to it
15th- mk and wishes cruise
16th-mvmcp
17th- epcot
18th- Hollywood studios
19th- Ak
20th- hang out at AkV all day
21st- go home

Ugh it just dawned on me when I get home from vacation how close Christmas will be!! I am ready to celebrate Christmas in WDW but not in real life!!!
