The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

Do any of our park days match up?

We will be at HS on the 18th as well! I am going to get my turkey Mickey head laminated this week. I will be on the lookout for you guys! We will probably be hanging out near TSMM alot...

I will be so excited if I see another DISser...

Ugh it just dawned on me when I get home from vacation how close Christmas will be!! I am ready to celebrate Christmas in WDW but not in real life!!!

No worries ... we get back on November 29th, less than a month from Christmas. Actually less than 4 weeks ..... :scared1:

Oh .. I just noticed that y'all take off the day we arrive. I never noticed that before.

Update:
I think we finally took the plunge, we're going to upgrade to the DxDDP. We are there 4 full days but only 3 nights so the credits get spread over an additional day. I'll get my ADR listing and plan over here from the Dining plan thread when I get a chance. Would be interested to hear everyone's take on it.

Just wondering what you guys wear to the MVMCP...do you get the kids festive in Christmas stuff, princess stuff or just normal...I am trying to figure out what we should do.

Sooooo true! I have made up the "list" of people we buy for and have a few things bought. It seems weird that 8 days after Halloween we will be looking at Christmas lights! Like you said, I'm all for it at WDW but not ready for the real thing being so close!
I am wondering if we will be able to see the castle lights on the night we do 7:15PM Hoop Dee Doo. I think we need to be catching the MK boat by 6:20? Hoping lights will go on at 6:00 then we can race to the dock. I am sooo looking forward to seeing it lit up and seeing Osborne Lights at DHS.

10 DAYS!!!

Unfortunately this is one of the MAJOR things I wish we were able to be there for .... I'll have to wait a few years. But eventually.

However, if we were to be going, I believe that I would go with festive attire, in my case I have DS (10), so probably a Christmasy type shirt and maybe a Santa hat. I know I would be wearing a Santa hat at the bare minimum. Well in addition to clothing of course ... :lmao:

HMOM~ We are gonna do the 'throw away older underwear' on this trip, for the kids definitely...but, I always do this with our toiletries...just pack bottles of stuff from home that are almost empty, toothpaste, shampoo, and get the cheapest toothbrushes you can find...when you leave chunck it all!!!! This has really helped and made room for souvies...I always do laundry on vacation...clean clothes take up less room than dirty!!!!
And Hallelujah!!!! it's sprinkling outside!!!!! We have had no rain in I don't know when...it's just a fine mist really, we should get RAIN tomorrow...but this is awesome!! We need whatever we can get to pack down all the dust/allergens blowing around....we have had major wind gusts this past week...my sinuses can confirm it!! LOL...
Andrea~ we just wear whatever we had planned for that days weather...we don't dress up or wear anything different...but that's just us..my boys wouldn't do it anyway!! LOL...Now, they might wear a cute Mickey t with christmas stuff on it, but that's as far as it would go!!!! :santa:

We are one month away until we leave!!:cool1: It will seem shorter though, because we will be heading south to the Grandparent's the day before Thanksgiving. Four hours closer!!:woohoo:

Im sure my DH and TA wish I would quit thinking about ADRs, pin codes and travel plans. Finally got an 'Ohana ressie for our 'break day.' Its an hour earlier than I want but DD and DS love Stitch. I may need to look online for a stuffed Stitch for DS. He keeps taking DD's.

Thinking about skipping MVMCP so we can spend one more day in WDW. Our departure day is Friday Dec 3. We have park tickets for the day already incase we wanted to spend an hour or so saying goodbye to MK. Brought it up to DH last night that we could spend the entire day there and stay at the hotel we spend our pre-arrival evening in for $70. We are driving so pretty easy to change plans. At some point though, I have to realize we cant stay at the mouse house forever!:scared1: The only downfall would be that I may need to rethink a couple evenings to see MK on a non-MVMCP night. DD didnt know about MVMCP so we'll leave the extra day for a surprise for her.

Almost done with Christmas shopping! :dance3: My earliest attempt ever. We have two birthdays in November to shop for so I just continued the shopping for Christmas. Unfortunately eBags were on the list and I bought some for our trip. :rolleyes1 Just need a couple Harley Davidson items and we're through.

SO excited for you guys that are leaving soon!!!!! Hope you'll let us know about your trips! popcorn::

I am so excited! I found our missing Mickey t-shirt, so now we have 5 complete sets of matching shirts. I should really sell the old shirts, we have always had moathing shirts on our trips, I try to buy them big so we get 2 trips out of them but the old shirts are just packed away once the kids outgrow theirs.

Anyway, DH said to look in the suitcases. I didn't think it would be there from 2 years ago but sure enough, there it was in the outsode pocket of one of the suitcases we haven't used since. It was thankfully not a kids one with any stains or anything, it was DH's so it is being washed and packed today.

I love love love HDDR!!! I can not wait until my son is old enough to go!!

Is anyone on here by chance in real estate? We are looking at putting an offer in on a short sale and we are having a difference of opinion with each other. My agent says we need to put our best offer out (asking price with closing cost or 2,000 under asking with closing cost) I agree with her but my husband wants to offer $15,000 less and wants closing costs. The house is already listed almost $40 ,000 under market value. I don't want to low ball them and then have to play the back and forth game with the bank since it will take a long time for answers, but I also do not want to pay more than I need to!

We're all wearing matching shirts this year. I made the mickey tie-dye ones in red and green (except for DS who is 16 and wanted red and black! He says he hates green...:confused3) We'll probably wear hats, too. I have a santa hat with Mickey ears! The first time we did MVMCP we didn't know that people dress Christmas-y, and kinda felt left out!

24 DAYS:banana:

Im off work today yahoo!!! Been cleaning and doing laundry all morning..I need to clean my closet out and get to the suitcases..LOL We are finally getting rain that we so desperately needed..its been sooo dry here. Fixing to get ready to go have lunch with dh :) Hope you all have a great day today!!! :woohoo:

Hi guys!
Sorry, I have been MIA for almost a month! It has been insane at my house! My husband is working on a political campaign and has rarely been home due to traveling the state. It has been a LONG month and we are ready for a vacation! Can NOT wait. Less than 30 days left! Can't wait to go back and read 75 pages worth of chat. :surfweb: It will be a nice break from the real world! popcorn::
Btw, got my ME packet last week! :cool1::cool1::cool1: Made me realize how close the trip is. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming.................. We will make it through next Tuesday, I know we will. :scared1: LOL
Anyhow, I just wanted to say HI! :wave2:

Wendy - I hope everything works out! I suppose now you'll be hanging on to that pumpkin pie a few more days....:rolleyes1

I know!!! Hopefully she can work it out... if not we will make do...

Buy new undies and pack the old ones. When the trip is over leave the old ones and more room for all the new stuff you bought at Disney! That is what we normally do with socks!

What a great idea...

I ordered some shirts for the girls on the trip... there is no way I could get my son and husband to wear them:confused3... although they might wear Santa hats!!!:rotfl:

That's a good question Andrea. . . I hadn't really thought about it, but it would be really cute to be dressed for the occasion. The only trouble is that any of our Christmas clothes would be sweaters/winter type clothes. I'm not sure we would be able to find anything new around here before we leave and that wouldn't be too hot to wear down there. I'll have to give that some thought. . .

We bought our house in a short sale. And let me just say it was anything but short (in terms of time!). :faint: That was the biggest pain in the behind ever!! :headache: But, I think you are along the right lines in terms of your offer. We offered much less than what they were asking and they accepted. Keep in mind that ours needed all new flooring & some other things done and they took that into consideration. I'm not sure what kind of shape the house that you are looking into is.

Good luck to you! :wizard:

I am a real estate agent. Short sales are hard to judge.... but I would not go in at full price either... I would also offer less than they are asking.... but in the market I work in that would work... I don't know about your market... your agent knows best... are you in competition with someone else bidding for the house? If so then go in with your best offer... if not I say low bid the bank and let them come back with a counter offer... that is if your not in a hurry... short sales take a LONG time usually to close.... good luck
