The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

What are you looking forward to buying on your trip that is not food?

Good question! :goodvibes I was just talking about what souvenirs I am wanting to get on this trip in my PTR!! Hoping to get ~

An Epcot Snowglobe
A 2011 Calendar
A new shirt
A soccer-ball ornament
New shirts for the kids
Not sure what else. . .

And I'm sure the kids will buy tons of toys and goodies with their spending money. As well as DH!

:cool1:

Good QOTD!

I always buy a frame with the year, this year I found one at Goodwill for $2 but it is the cardboard kind, so I may still buy the ceramic-ish one. I always buy a Christmas tree ornament so there is that. And after years of wanting one but never getting the guts to actually buy one ($$$) last trip I bought yself a hoodie. I loved it, buying it was hard for me (I don't usually own anything over maybe $20.) But I did it, I came home and it fell apart in the wash. They refunded my money in ful so I MAY buy myslef a hoodie, but getting the guts to spend that much twice may be tough.

Unless of course we hit the lottery in the next few days...then I'll be getting a hoodie, a snowglobe and the black Dooney and Burke purse with all the colored Mickey's all over it that I see the photos of here on DIS! A girl can dream...

I will probably buy some Christmas stuff since I've never been during this time. Feels kinda weird since it will be early November but I'm sure with Main Street being decorated and the MVMCP, I'll be in the spirit to buy something.

I also need need pot holders, so I figure why not get Disney ones.

Ooohhh! Good one!

I'll be buying a pack of Mickey Head ornaments (the ones that are all different colors) I have 4 different sets now, so need to add to the collection! Also, just a single ornament with the year on it. A new antenna topper, since my PotC one was stolen in the Target parking lot. :sad2: And I'll really be looking at the D&B bag... (also the black with colorful mickeys) and hoping DH will let me get it! I've never spent that much on a purse in my life!! :rolleyes1

Dh needs a new Disney golf hat (visored) and a straw hat. Definitely will be buying those. I'm not sure what I would buy for myself. Will bring back t-shirts or something for the 8 grandkids.

A new watch.... Mine broke in January and I have been waiting to replace it with new MM watch. My old watch was purchased on our last trip in 2006. I had been wanting a MM watch since our first trip in 1986....:flower3:

Oooh, shopping!

I am hoping to find a cute ornament or two. I don't really need/want much else for me. But I might find a must-have, who knows!

My three year old son is staying home with my husband, so I want his big sister to pick something out for him. He is gaga for Toy Story, so maybe something along those lines. And I think stuffing a box with Mr. Potato Head parts would be fun for both of them.

This will be my six year old daughter's first trip... so I expect I will want to get more things for her. We have plans to do pearl diving in Japan, and she loves Hello Kitty, so I anticipate lots of Japan shopping. She also has said for the past six months that she is in a "China chrysallis" since she is absolutely fascinated by all things China. She will go nuts for anything Mulan in particular.

It will be fun fun fun to shop shop shop! Only 8 more days for me!!!

Oh and my kids and what they want. (DH won't buy anything.)

DD16 always buys a treat at each country in EPCOT and then we eat them on NYE. She has done this for years.

DD11 wants Duffy bear.

DD8 want the Littlest Pet Shop type toys.

We are letting them all Pick a Pear in Japan, I bought them the Cinderella cages for them on eBay. (But they don't know, this is a surprise.)

What a fun idea! I may copy that idea! My daughter got a Cinderella pearl cage for her birthday, so she hopes her pearl isn't too big to fit in it. I told her she'd probably have NO problems! Watch she gets a giant pearl now... :rotfl:

It is fun, she collects the diffeent candy wrappers and this time should have enough to make a colege of them in a frame. We look forward to it on New Years.

Those cages were a great deal. And really pretty. I was surprised too they said they were just the cage and no chain but we got chains with them. :cool1:

Is anyone else here going to The Benefit Sale on November 6 at Downtown Disney? DH has decided to drive straight through on the 5th:headache:, so I just bought vouchers so we can shop. Well, at least we'll be so tired from the drive that we'll fall asleep early on Friday so that we can get to the sale at 5:30am:scared1:.

Shh, don't tell my hubby, but I'm eyeing the 40% off Dooney & Burke bags....
