The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

No problem, I was researching back when I rec'd the pin for FD for my week which was not incl in the public offer and CSR was the only resort we could consider because they have the queen size beds and both my DS and Ddil are 6ft tall so full size beds are not an option for them, we could have done 2 rooms at CSR had they been available.

I think we recieved the same PIN but I wasn't smart enough to book the add'l first night to start off. But I know for next time ... book the most and scale back later. If you can :lmao:

Heck Yeah! 45 DAYS!!!! :banana::woohoo::yay:

Paid the package off a couple of days ago, but I know this is a landmark. I celebrated it by going on touringplan.com last night and building itineraries for each of our days.

I don't think the reality has set in yet still. I am so excited to be doing this for my babies. My daughter has literally been asking to go for 3 years. I can't wait to see her face.

Oh and I realized when I saw the traveler list, I forgot to say where we are staying. We'll be at All Star Movies.

I read that tip on the DIS, of course where else, but it makes such perfect sense since it is easier to cancel a night or two than add on at a later day

Originally this trip was just DH and myself and we were going for at least 7 nights or more, but then he was suppose to be retired by now too, which has not happened yet
When DS and Ddil said they would like to go with us we had to scale back since Ddil could not spare the time from work and school, as is she is missing one day of school I think and I was not going to budge on the week DH and I had decided upon.
We did add another night back in April but then when air fares came out for that one extra night it was going to cost us each $100 more for our air fare, not even to mention the extra for another nights room, so I called and cancelled the extra night.
I do wish now I had kept it, but too late.

I am so tired tweeking my park schedule and ADR's trying to please everyone, I keep telling DS and Ddil we can all just go do our "own thing" but DS keeps saying he wants to do what DH and I are doing :rotfl:

Originally DS and Ddil were planning on a day at Seaworld and a morning doing the Richard Petty Driving Expierence, but since DS still has not found a job I think they nixed those ideas.:confused3

Can anyone tell me what time the stores usually open at Downtown Disney?? Also what bus stop should we get off at, I think there are more than one right? We havent gone to DD since our trip in 2004 so I think it's time we check it out again. :)

Then there is no need to comprimise ... one of the things that we have done in the past when travelling in groups (family or otherwise) we have ended up just saying - "Hey we're doing this, if you want to come great if not we'll catch up with you later." This has worked really well when on cruises.

We've been thinking of a modified version for WDW, kind of like a sign up sheet idea. Mind you that's because we are looking to have about 6 different couples all travelling at the same time now that could get :scared1:

I think the stores open at 9:30. You will want to get off at the Marketplace stop, that's where most of the stores are!

That is excellent advise, Thank You! I think I will print out the itenery I have put together and do just that.

Six couples would be quite a large group to coordinate touring and dining plans with............but sounds like fun

Our home resort is SSR. I have read a lot of negative reviews here about it, but we love it. We love being so close to DTD and always ask to be in congress park so we can walk over. We are going to be buying more points soon and I think for simplicity sake we will buy at SSR again.
We have gotten to stay at SSR, BWV, BCV, and have done 2 disney cruises! Did I say how much I LOVE my DVC membership?!?

So ladies, guess where I spent the day today? My DS12 started middle school and they have what is called turnaround day, which means a parent goes to school for your child. So I spent my day getting in and out of a locker and in multiple classrooms with a lot of 12 year olds and a few parents (the turn out wasn't as good as I thought it would be).
It was fun and my sons friends really got a kick out of me being there and had me sit with them at lunch.
But, I am pretty sure I sprained my ankle in PE playing volleyball (walked backward into a cone trying to get the ball). Good thing I still have 40 days to recoop.

:rotfl2:I do not think I could do that for a day,I spent mine bathing our dogs (Rottweilers that think are Toy Show Poodles just 150 +lbs) and I was exsaperated and very wet. To spend a whole day in middle school again:scared1: haha. Sounds like you had fun and getting to spend time with the little ones....Priceless!!

Mickey Mail!! Mickey mail!! I got Mickey Mail!!!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

ME TOO!!! We're at 37 days away and our ME booklet and luggage tags arrived. :cheer2::cheer2: We are also DVC Members and this will be our 2nd trip. The first time we stayed at our home resort of SSR, which we enjoyed very much. We are looking forward to staying at BLT this time around.:flower3:

We are 51 days out today.
I paid in full sometime last week or was it week before?

Anyways, my silly daughter, we've been doing a daily countdown for a while now so it's not like she didn't realize when we're going. This morning my youngest & I were talking about going to Disney next month and big sis came running in the room next month, REALLY? whoohoow we're going to Dinsey NEXT month goofy kid.

We are staying at the BWV for the first time this trip. The reviews are pretty harsh... Can you give me a warm, fuzzy?

Tomorrow my ticker will read 1-1-1!

Whoa! :confused3 What reviews are you reading??? We haven't been to WDW since 2007, but I thought they just renovated BWV rooms, so I'm surprised to hear there are harsh reviews.

We were at BWV in Jan. and were very happy with it. Our group had 5 rooms and I think they all were nice rooms. Maybe we all had the newly renovated rooms.

Do I have to get new tickers?! They were getting so close!!

I just went into my profile to see if I copied and pasted the URL if it would "refresh" or something, but it didn't work. I am NOT making a new one now that I'm down to 29 days!!

I was SO looking forward to seeing my ticker when I was days away!! :sad2: I went ahead and made a new countdown tag.:woohoo:

ARE WE EXCITED OR WHAT!?
28 DAYS FOR US!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!
