We are also DVC members - our home resort is BWV and this is our 10th year as members. We love our villa!

We are staying at the BWV for the first time this trip. The reviews are pretty harsh... Can you give me a warm, fuzzy?

We just came back from BWV in July. We had a 1br standard view. The room was fine but a bit dark. I think it's b/c we had a porch with a roof overtop of it so sunlight doesn't get in as much ... and our previous trip was to BLT where they just have a wall of windows. I love sunlight!

We loved the pool area, walking around the Boardwalk, shops, Swan and Dolphin. You really can't beat all the excitement of the boardwalk, walking into epcot, boating to DHS. It's really cool!

My only complaint, like most people, is that the walk from the parking lot to the room was the longest I've ever done. I timed it ... took us 10 minutes which may not sound like much but it just feels like forever. Now we did have 2 strollers and since our room was on the lobby level, we couldn't take the short-cut since there are no elevators near the short cut. Whoever designed that part wasn't thinking.

We do hope to get back to BWV, but we'll wait until the kids outgrow the strollers. We've done strollers at AKV, BWV and BLT and for some reason it wasn't as much as an issue at those DVCs...I can't explain it...BWV is just a hike! It looks like it's just right there ...and then you walk and walk and walk ... uphill on the return so after a long day in the parks you swear they added more sidewalk!

I can not believe how fast it is going now!!!!!!!! Sounds like a lot of you are DVC members. We just got the information about that.... not sure we are ready for that step but it's fun to think about it!

We are in PA, not too far away. Monongalia & Preston counties used to be a part of my territory for work. I've been the Buckwheat Festival a few times.

Our neighbor's son lives in Albright.

All paid off as of last night.
Decided to drive to Buffalo and fly down to ATL to pick up my son instead of driving the entire way. Basically ended up costing me about $23/hr of driving saved. It's worth it.

Wasn't able to get my additional night at CSR. 11/20/2010 - turns out the entire resort is booked up. Go figure eh?

Oh well maybe a stay at DTD will be in order. Back to

CSR has been booked or blocked for sometime, I did read here on the DIS there is some convention which has a block of rooms blocked which will be released early Nov, I seem to remember like Nov 1st or 5th. Perhaps you will be able to snag your additional night yet, here is some pixie dust

I joined in right at the very end of part 1 of this thread....haven't been on in a while & just found Part 2! I called today & added an extra day to the beginning of our vacation, which is now November 9-16 at All-Star Music. I'm going with my 17 year old sister, her best friend & my mom. Booked our flights today too, and we're all super excited!! Especially for MVMCP!

I called today & added an extra day to the beginning of our vacation, which is now November 9-16 at All-Star Music. I'm going with my 17 year old sister, her best friend & my mom. We are also booked with our DVC membership. This is our first trip "Home" to BLT. I love DVC, it makes us take a vacation! We are also going to be on our incentive cruise that we got for joining. I love having a kitchen and a washer & dryer!
I just found out a bunch of us our going for another Grand Gathering Jan of 2012!! There are 3 of us who are DVC members and last time we got 17 of us all booked in 5 rooms at BWV, all with our points. Right now 24of us our going. My one sil is not sure because her 5 yr son has peanut, dairy and egg allergies. I told her it was perfect because we will have kitchens! Still working on her.

To funny there will be 24 of us also

No problem, I was researching back when I rec'd the pin for FD for my week which was not incl in the public offer and CSR was the only resort we could consider because they have the queen size beds and both my DS and Ddil are 6ft tall so full size beds are not an option for them, we could have done 2 rooms at CSR had they been available.
