and I just checked the crowd calendar on touringplans.com, whoohoo now I can decide which parks which days!

WOW!!! That's a lot to take in.

Mind you I feel your planning pains already - First day plans are a bit of a stretch for us but we're troopers and I'm sure with the surprise of going to Disney for DS10 he'll have enough energy.

7:30 Check-in CSR
9:30 ADR - Boma
11:00 Off to DHS - Stick around for Fantasmic
7:30 Off to MK for MSEP and Wishes and evening EMH til 1 AM if we last, or as long as we last. I think DW may cave some where around 11 or so .. let's just hope that it's 11 at night at least

Holy Cow that is a full first day but sounds like so much fun. It has been my expierence kids never tire when at Disney, now the parents that is a different story. DH is my party pooper, always has been, always will be. I had thought this trip would be different since he was suppose to retire in May, well he decided to hold off and is now not retireing until after Christmas grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Last year I missed MK entirely due in part to him

I have been playing around with my park plans and I think I have it figured out .....I think "famous last words" of course now I am on the hunt for that early before the park opens ADR at CP again, just after I finally was able to get one last week for my other change of MK day. I even checked CRT but no such luck

Glad I'm not the only one! We leave Thanksgiving day... so still have to wait a bit for our info to arrive... and 'til it's time to go!

And then........................... the dreams that send you into an all out panic over the scheduled daily plans

The picture of the Castle Lights posted on here yesterday ended up having a lasting impression on me as I lay sleeping last night

I had a dream of DS and Ddil expressing their desire to see the Castle Lights and Wishes, you see DH and myself are doing the MVMCP the night DS and Ddil are doing HDDR, they did not want to shell out the $$$ for party tickets and DH and I did not want to go to HDDR this year since we did it last year with DS who is in heaven now. I had another day scheduled for MK but since it is on a party night, planned on leaving mid afternoon before the castle lights

So now I am going over how I can switch days around, there is one night if I make it our 2nd MK day we can see the Castle Lights, Wishes and the Electrical Parade

Now I wonder about ADR changes and there is no way I can see to change and still be able to see Fantasmic which I do not care about anyhow, I want to see OL but I have to see Rick Springfield one of the nights he is at Epcot and I already bought our tix for MVMCP so can not change that day or the one Epcot day since I commited to the Illuminations Cruise

Hmm are there Park Hoppers in our future? We had not planned on them this trip but maybe we will have to get them after all

Back to the drawing board

I feel a major headache coming on

Im kinda discouraged..i checked the touringplans site for crowd calendar and most days we are there the numbers r 9 and 10..Should i be worried we picked a crowded week

We're leaving the Saturday after Thanksgiving so we have a few more days/weeks to wait on our paperwork too.

I wanted to also say I'm so excited to see the castle looking like that!!

Rainy, cold day here so I'm taking advantage of that and finishing up the countdown calendar I'm making for DGD10. I already have the grab bag trinkets for each day and didn't spend more than a dollar or two for each gift...a princess slap bracelet, Tinkerbell socks, glow clip on earrings and bracelets, a couple of little Mickey and character puzzles, an autograph pen, a word search book for the plane trip, etc., one gift for each day of the countdown. I can't wait until she begins ...I started counting down wayyyyy back in April!

I have been told from the get go that it would be a crowded week. Esp come Wed and continuing through Sun. Now, will it be a 10? I don't know. I would expect the 10 to be on Thur and not Fri tho. It isn't as bad as Christmas, New Years or the "Spring Break" time periods. I have told it is pretty comparable to the week of July 4th. Which is crowded, but doable.

Yeah me too. But our last day is Wednesday and we're hitting CP at 820 in the morning then enjoying MK until we're ready to head to the 'rents for Turkey day Thursday.

Hmmm . . . Nov. 8 and 11 are MVMCP, Nov. 9 park closes early for a private party, that leaves me Nov. 10 to see the castle lit up. Does anyone know if they do this right at dark or after Wishes or some other time?

It usually is lit up in a small ceremony at 5:45. You can see it on the party nights before they close also...
